Rail map online does admit to either a bay platform or a siding at Badorgan- likely dating from when many local stations had to effectively also be goods depots as well as stations

I went to Holyhead a few years ago, with my son then a little boy (he’s now 30) and our trains were loco hauled by class 37s ( I know your not a fan of diesels, yes?) the one on the way back to Bangor ( we were staying in Beaumaris) we were hauled by “Driver John Elliot “ . Took a favourite picture of him, standing next to the giant loco. Happy memories

1:44 looking at a OS Map on the National Library of Scotland website, by the looks that used to be platforms for Cows as there were Cattle Pens at this station. Not a fan of Rail replacement buses but they do take you through some scenery that you don't get to see on a train. Great video Jen and loved every video on the North Wales Coast.

Between Llanfair PG and Bodorgan is Gaerwen, a disused station where the branch to Amlwch is being considered to be revived/reinstated. The passenger reception to Holyhead Port, a very short walk from the railway station is a worthwhile diversion.

1:45 Don't know much about that platform but the two signals either side of the crossing are in the middle of an 'Absolute block' section and controled from the signal box for the sole purpose of protecting the crossing

The signs on platform 1(where the trains from London arrive) still direct ship passengers to walk up the platform and into the (closed) old building between platforms 1 and 2. This would bring you out on platform 2, which you could then walk back down to enter the ferry terminal. Since that building is now closed, you'd need to go even further back and cross the car park. The signs really should be turned around to point to the new footbridge.

Spent an hour in Holyhead a few weeks ago and spotted that Woolworths sign! Also bought some Welsh Cakes from a vendor in the alley next to the Co-Op. It also looks like there is a TfW depot there with sone Class 175's just sitting around doing nothing! I remember in the late 90's catching the Holyhead service between Birmingham and Wolverhampton, and it was a Regional Railways Class 37 pulling some early Mark 2 coaches (with opening windows and a centre door which was blocked by luggage bays). I wonder how the loco turned around at Holyhead? Was the disused platform still fitted with rails to allow the turnaround? The to Birmingham service took the Walsall route to avoid turning around at New Street (before the service was extended to International)

Those roads were very narrow 4 that coach and those bridges would have given me an anxiety attack if the coach was going to fit under. Fun fact about coaches is they look bigger than what they actually are
