The G3 series had a design flaw where they would cut out at high volume. Some were okay but I had three before I found one that didn't have this problem.

I have seen one of those Randalls with the grill saying "anal" here in Sweden too! I wonder if it was common mod?

The anal logo is Kind of like the old Mitsubishi logo that got modded to its b s

making it say anal instead of randall makes the tone atleast 10x better

Great amp and quite a distinct bit of engineering as it has that hybrid Valve Dynamic deal going, which seems inspired by the Marshall Valvestate but with the added benefit of a much larger power section to provide compensating headroom for the face that the power section is solid state.

I find that this amp has more of a Diezel sound to it at least with the way I had it dialed in. I had no problem getting Adam Jones tones out of it

There's that amp! 🤘😎 People do get a bit 'anal' about tuning, eh? lol For the crackling pots, I can easily fix that with a bit of contact cleaner. I'd be happy to help you out with that.
