That’s some real nostalgia for me right there! I grew up listening to one of these (silver model) every morning eating breakfast in the kitchen from about 1989-2000. It’s my dad’s. It’s still working and it’s in his garden shed, he still uses it for the fm radio everyday. Never needed any repairs, but it’s been using an old coat hanger for an aerial for yrs now.😂

So good to see your back Matt, I was wondering what had happened to you 🧐 But it’s really good news now to have you back with your enthusiasm for all things music related 👍😃👍

Glad you’re back Matt ! I too started my love of music on a ghettoblaster. Mine was a Crown CSC 640F, Christmas 1979 ! I recently tracked one down on eBay, great condition, everything working. But after much thinking and soul searching I am going a different route ( don’t shoot me) I’ve ripped everything out of the inside and am going to put in new speakers, a Bluetooth receiver/ amp PCB and a rechargeable battery pack to make a monster Bluetooth speaker to run from my phone

You’re back. Did you get caught robbing a bank or something? Good to see you posting again!

Hooray, you're back. Will you be doing an update on your CD collection and using sleeves instead of jewel cases? I've transferred about 500 so far, and just trying to find a new home for the cases without them ending up in the bin.

Toshiba, back in that time were one of the best and were reliable. Keep hold of it as Boom boxes now are cheaply built

I had that exact model when I was around 12-13 years old I think. 86/87 maybe.

@bmwracing1974 what a cool story man. Must have been amazing unwrapping that bad boy! I have this one by my desk so I can play cassettes while I'm working. I love it. Such a great looking thing and like you, I find it very nostalgic too.
