My experience with medication took a couple of tries to get the right one, they were reluctant to put me on a stimulant because I have a comorbid anxiety disorder. But I had to insist we try the stimulant which is more fast-acting than everything else before we try any more of the less effective ones For those with anxiety disorders. They put me on Concerta, and it is the weirdest experience of my life to be able to focus this much. I’m a few weeks in, and suddenly understand how hard I was trying to focus my whole life. Combined with all the coping mechanisms that I already had in place for my ADHD it’s been extremely helpful. those around me are shocked at the difference, and so am I. you’re welcome I’m so happy to share this resource, I struggled to find resources in the beginning so I really want to share them with everybody else:-)
