Today is a very typical day in the life as an airline pilot flying domestically in Australia. Today was 2 sectors but we also have 4 sector days as well as trips which can vary from 3, 4, 5 day trips.

I really want to become an airline pilot like you, I’m 14 in grade 9 but I’ve built myself a good flight simulator, I just don’t know what direction to go, like when should I start my pilot training or go to university right after school or even if I should I’ve got the grades but I’m worried about my ATAR exams because the exams are starting to get harder and harder. If there’s any tips that you can think of for a 14 then I’d be extremely grateful *i hope this makes sense*. Oh and a question: Where did you go for flight school, my local airport *redcliffe aerodrome* has flight schools but I’m not sure if I should go there basically what flight school did you go too. I loved the video gonna drop a like and sub!

I don’t know about Australia but here in Canada you could start your training now and building your hours towards your private pilot license and study for your ground school. Im doing a online ground school which I find best because you can do it at your own pace. Once your 16year old you can do your solo and at 17years old you can get your PPL and start working towards your commercial and instrument rating and get those at 18 years old and then you can get a job as a pilot. I would recommend looking up your local flight school at the airport or flight club and go talk to them. They can put you on a good path. Good luck with everything

Depends for him it looks like he’s a regional pilot and sometimes they start in hotels but mostly(commonly) every night there back home, for long haul pilots (cross country big planes) there looking at barley any time at home could be once a week or maybe even a couple times a month - but he is regional so mostly every night sometimes during the day (depends) and for convenience the airline might get him to stay at a hotel if he’s first flight the next day is not at he’s home airport
