The inconsistency of the job is what I find the most exciting. Every day I see what looks malicious ending up being regular activity, and what looks like regular activity ending up being malicious. It's a lot of adware and potentially unwanted programs, along with creating exclusions and automating things, however in between there's that 1% of the time adrenalin of stopping a threat actor. To do this you really have to have a problem solving passion and really enjoy diving into understanding anything you investigate. It's really important to be a team player and be comfortable asking questions often when not sure about something.

Thanks so much!! Too many people do the morning routine BS or explain their day like they would in an interview. Idea for video....The IT department at one company I worked for would do company wide presentations on how to best use them. They would even tell us the type of internal requests they would get through help tickets. One was a series of tickets involving a request on how to get rid of a spider with progress updates. IT responses were hilarious! Another was a list of complaints from and about a certain individual who he named because there was no point in pretending the entire company of 3k employees didn't know who it was. The complaints were things like being unable to send emails and other basic things. He kept asking help for basic stuff and others kept asking help teaching it to him so he would stop bothering them!!
