Harriet a note on the watermelon: you might get a better ripening too if you cut watering the last few weeks as they mature… it concentrates the sugars and gives a better flavor… everything looks amazing as usual, love the garlic braids!

How lovely. You have become accomplished in many things, the decision to give up your work and spend time developing the farmstead has been fruitful. One of your best vlogs Harriet, my favourite so far.

You can make a new 'boca' for the plastic tube, something the builders thought me here. You heat up the end over a stovetop until it goes soft and then you can push another piece of pipe in. When it cools it will stay in that shape..

OMG! You are utterly amazing! I’m impressed with you. I can relate as I too have purchased a restoration project, the only difference is that I set here waiting for workers and at the moment it’s not so easy to find workers. I do have moments when I feel like I can paint this home all on my own. 😂😂 you have inspired me so today I actually bought my own tools and scrubbed the floor in the foyer. Thank you for your inspiration, I think I’ll try and paint one of the closets. Thanks 👍❤️

Kia ora from Aotearoa New Zealand. I have just found your channel. We are a retired couple cosharing a property with one of our sons and his family, so we live intergenerationally. We have 1.1 hectare property overlooking the stunning Tasman Bay, with a Mediterranean-type climate. We grow much of what you do as well as NZ natives and also plait our garlic harvest - enough to keep the family in garlic for the year. That includes our other children and grandchildren.

Watering with the hose…. Cut the bottoms off of your plastic 2 /3 litre dinks bottles dig holes around your beds crush the necks a little and plant the quite deep, the deeper the better it will cause your plants to dig down to get water and the weeds will not be so able to drink it. As you go around filling them up you will be able to check your crops and the whole watering session maybe only twice or three times a week will be faster than watering the beds with a hose. I used this method on my 2 allotments and found so many more people following what I was doing. Best of luck. I’m looking for something like your set up but I’m looking at the moment in Portugal hopefully with a derelict building maybe a barn, convert it so,I live upstairs and have a pen downstairs with a shed.

What a life you lead, Harriet! I've often seen garlic woven like that and never stopped to think how it was done -- now I know! I'm going to miss the little kitties; I hope they are going to good homes. How does your herbal infusion taste with rosemary?

We're gonna miss them too but they are going to some good friends who are gonna look after them so well! The rosemary is nice in a tea, it doesn't give a very strong flavour as you might expect!

Lo de la tubería puede ser contracción y expansión por cambio de temperatura (noche/día). Poner un marcador a los costados alineados con una marca en la tubería permitiría comprobarlo. Como no está pegada o con fijaciones (la tubería) es la causa más probable.
