I’m 3 months in my loc journey and my hair looks exactly like yours. The top is the thickest and the back locs the fastest. I’m loving it. My hair is doing exactly what yours is at 5mo at 3months for me!!

@@vhix64 4c extremely matted texture. My hair use to Loc in 2 months it I didn’t take box braids out of them. That’s why I decided to get locs.

@@angelrasheena5954 I'm 3 months as well but with 3c/4a hair and my hair is almost completely loced. Wetting my hair everyday really helped my hair loc faster.

I’ve had the same problem with a few of my locs untwisting in the beginning. When you retwist it, you could crotchet it at the top so that it doesn’t come out as much until it locs up completely. Otherwise, love the hair growth and the thickness that you’re getting.

My hair is like 4B and 4C together.. The volume is niice.. especially right after the retwist gets stale. I don't palm roll. Started.. 07/27 I'm at 5 months now. My hair looks similar to Dezren's..😊 I'm still experiencing twists unravelling(I did two strand twists). But it is def lesser than the first few months. To let my retwists last longer I don't spray my hair for like 1 week or a little more. I try to oil my hair when my roots are dry because that helps with keeping up with the moisture. Most twist patterns are still there.. The roots of each twists are basically loc'd.. Even tho it's hard to unravel most twists, the body of most twists still haven't experienced budding. I retwist with castor oil and it hoenstly makes My hair feel soft afterwards. It's not hard to wash out. It just works for me. I also tried aloe vera gel but I prefer the castor oil with my hair.

I am six weeks in my journey a couple days ago I just had my first washing and retwist done by me and my sister and it turns out my hair was coiled the wrong way so my sister recoiled and now my hair has some bunching because it is not used to new direction my hair is now twisted coiled in but overall going well. This is truly fun ❤️, Your locs are beautiful 😍

I too will be 2 months Jan 3 the re-twist does not last. I think it was good for about a week and a half. I’m just leaving it alone but I make sure I separate them. Good luck with your journey

The back of mine is the finest and locked faster for some reason🤔. Unfortunately, the parting was off and left me with one very thick and one super thin. So, to fix the loc/part ratio, I combed out and restarted the last row this morning -- hopefully for the last time...🙄
