Great review. I agree with you. Honestly I’m happy it’s over, 12 episodes seemed an eternity. But for me I liked their chemistry together, but the plot was lacking. I would like to see more of Tee and Yuki (they wasted time with some many stupid things…). There’s a GL from my country that I really liked called Stupid Wife (it’s on youtube and has english subs). It’s kinda soap opera too, but the plot it’s better imo.

I wasn't a fan of GAP either, which is sad cause I anticipated it for so long but ultimately it was quite a let down. I agree with pretty much everything you said. The chemistry bit, I also think it's more of a writing/directing problem than an inherent lack of chemistry from the actresses cause they seem to have chemistry outside the show. FreenBecky are supposed to do another GL together in the future so I guess we'll see then.

FreenBecky's chemistry carried this show. They have almost magical and rare chemistry but Gap the series didn't do them a justice. Only improvised scenes are lovescenes/intimate scenes but they still feel more of FreenBecky than MonSam. I think writing is a issue here. Becky, an actress of Mon, actually agrees that MonSam are in toxic situation and she would rather go to England if she was Mon. I personally not a fan of Sam. Mon is slightly better but her character development lacked bit in late episodes. I feel like this series is popular only because of FreenBecky's performance and their chemistry. Without them, this series wouldn't be this successful. I hope Idolfactory choose better novels. Gap novel was much worse.

I stopped watching by ep9-10 bc I felt no real progression in their relationship and Som's character tbh? The way Mon got treated, essentially being called a wh*re bc of Sam not even listening to her was my last straw. Also??? Why advertise a 2nd and 3rd couple if they'll not even be in the show, or at least not while I was watching. I really thought Idol Factory would improve after SCOY, but did not. Love my girlies tho, and hope Freen and Becky act together again, and I genuinely did love how Freen portrayed Sam.

Honestly, having watched some amazing sapphic shows this year like A league of their own and Warrior Nun, that just raised the bar, I knew I wasn't gonna like this show 5 mins into the first ep where they have that incredibly forced exposition dump between Mon and her friend, and then I just didn't get them as a couple, so I dropped it:/
