He is actually talking about Zambia 🇿🇲; a country in the Southern region of Africa where he travelled to recently and had a few shows. He is painting the picture of the stagnant inequality and poverty that’s systemic. Having churches and police stations but no hospitals and schools, A-Reece likens the reality of Zambians to that of his own country as he raps “far from home, feels like I ain’t even left.” The Bible says ‘The meek will inherit the earth.’, A Reece raps “the meek just keep burning the most” frustrated by the economic and socio-economic exploitation of people who are poor in these African countries. Such a beautiful mind having to pen down his experiences and train of thought like this.

When A-Reece said “it takes alot to bring it out of me” he said it because people speculated that he fell off because he’s been quite ever since he dropped “Todays Tragedy Tomorrows Memory” and also he said “remember when they took my silence for weakness but go silent when I finally achieved it” it’s because a lot of rappers said A-Reece fell off and since A-Reece called himself the king when he “fell off” people started calling themselves kings now A-Reece is saying “What’s a king to a God”

But he feels like he never left his own home ,either was saying zambia is very similar to South Africa with almost everything including the struggles or he saying he feels more at home in Zambia than he is in South Africa and wouldnt blame him if he felt like that because we as South Africans dont deserve Areece for the way we are treating him
@jeditayy63652 жыл бұрын
@@zethembemdletshe3117 He was talking about the love he recieved. He couldn't rest , always with the fans and stuff.. And yes that made him happy coz he felt right at home. Until he started learning more about the country and its struggles💔 That's when he went from being happy to being stressed. It's a double entendre - also highlighting that we share the same struggles. Left here expecting the change of scenery only to find out it is similar to SA..

In my opinion Areece's confliction stems from the audience first being introduced to him with radio play type of songs whereas after Ambitiouz Ent. he switched up to a dark room type of sound for the most part and many couldn't really adapt to the different sound. Internationally he'll always be recognised but at home SA, English is not the only medium and thus the circle got smaller of those eho could appreciate and dissect his lyricism.
@AtSecretSociety2 жыл бұрын
Well articulated. They've beeen wanting him to go commercial. But post Ambitiouz projects...that's where his pocket is. That's his signature sound.

Ohhw yeah he's saying he saying he still got it because of the criticism lately about his sound not evolving as much. Some people say he was more dynamic when he was under a label as compared to his independent stage. In this project he even went to as far as trying out a completely different sound to anything he's done before. Very indigenous sound to S.A. So yeah he was basically proving a point with this project and trying out new structures in his songs. About 3 songs so far that I've noticed
