Mashallah what a nice and humble response from Sheikh Muhammad Yasir Al-Hanafi. I used to be a hard Salafi in my younger years because of certain Sheikhs I was listening too, but alhamdulillah I don’t call myself “Salafi” anymore *even though I still respect some of the Sheikhs of the Salafi movement in the 20th century* because it has too much negative connotations and it has become literally a cultish mentality unfortunately. So alhamdulillah I’m blessed to have found out what real Tassawuf is in my recent years and left the old mentality of “Sufi bad” or “Sufi and Tassawuf is not Islamic” etc etc.

The nafs is what we need to control every time you think about correcting someone the nafs gets happy bevause it gets a gratification from it so instead just practice Quran and sunnah through your actions in your heart and every time you feel like responding to someone talk with your self immediately

But I wasn't liking his rhetorical and some what rude way of refuting (which many Salafi scholars do as well) But in recent times, he's been very polite in refuting. Respect should only be given to those who deserve it. Mr. Abu Usamah made egregious mistakes in labeling other sincere Muslims as potential mushriks, but it's not surprising considering his salafi inclinations. Also, in his videos he spoke nonsense about Abu Hanifa and Malik. Do they teach in Medina that Abu Hanifa was weak in hadith and a murjiya?

Anyone calling for Istighatha towards graves and the dead needs to be addressed. After debating most 'istiqlalis', they only claim that taking a god besides Allaah is shirk. Making duaah to graves, asking them to grant them things only Allaah can grant, bowing and prostrating to them is NOT shirk because they haven't made such things into God. What a load of nonsense.

One narration which is relevant is the narration of Malik al-Dar: أصاب الناس قحط في زمن عمر بن الخطاب، فجاء رجل إلى قبر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم. فقال: يا رسول الله استسق الله لأمتك فإنهم قد هلكوا. فأتاه رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في المنام فقال: إيت عمر، فأقرئه مني السلام، وأخبرهم أنه مسقون، وقل له عليك بالكيس الكيس. فأتى الرجل فأخبر عمر، فقال: يا رب ما آلوا إلا ما عجزت عنه It is related from Malik al-Dar, `Umar's treasurer, that the people suffered a drought during the successorship of `Umar, whereupon a man came to the grave of the Prophet and said: "O Messenger of Allah, ask for rain for your Community, for verily they have but perished," after which the Prophet appeared to him in a dream and told him: "Go to `Umar and give him my greeting, then tell him that they will be watered. Tell him: You must be clever, you must be clever!" The man went and told `Umar. The latter said: "O my Lord, I spare no effort except in what escapes my power!" This narration is authenticated by many scholars, such as: 1- Ibn Hajar al-'Asqalani says in ("Fath al Bari", 2/495): "وروى ابن أبي شيبة بإسناد صحيح - Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated this with an authentic chain." 2- Ibn Kathir says in ("Al-Bidayah", 7/106): "وهذا إسناد صحيح - this chain is authentic." 3- Al-Qastalani says ("Al-Mawahib", 3374): "وروى ابن أبى شيبة بإسناد صحيح من رواية أبى صالح السمان، عن مالك الدار - Ibn Abi Shaybah has narrated this with an authentic chain." 4- Al-Samhudi says ("Khulasa al-Wafa", 1/417): "ومنه ما رواه البيهقي وابن أبى شيبة بسند صحيح عن مالك الدار - Al-Bayhaqi and Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated this authentically on the authority of Malik Al-Daar." It is also authenticated by: Al-Zarqani, al-Haythami, Ibn 'Allan, and many other Hadith scholars. It was also used by scholars to proof the miracles of the Prophet, such as al-Bayhaqi.

I know we have to respect that no matter what their views but I'm not talking about their knowledge I just don't understand when people like them say dishonest things. Surely he knows that's not true about Imam Malik so to spread a falsehood knowingly just makes me feel weird giving him praise, same with that Abu Layth guy, maybe his strange views are sincere, but once he quoted a fatwa from Sh Albany about Falasteen that was a step too far because why would a Maliki use a fatwa from Albany just to make his own biased political point, it was like deceptive.. His book Sohbetler the sixht Volume, on page 199, there Mahmud Efendi says: We say that we have prayed but Allah performs the actual prayer. The one who prays the best prayer of the world, it becomes a representation of the prayer that Allah performs. I have also videos from him where he says: Standing in the presence of a saint is better than 150 years of sincere worship. And in Mahmud Ustaosmanoglu explanation in the book „ruhu‘l -furkan“ Vol. 2, Page 82: When you are confused about what to do pertaining to the things (you do) (then) seek help from the people in the grave! I also have a video where he performs sujood on top and towards the grave.

However with some research on the brother that passed away in Turkey, some statements are very dubious at the least. Allahu Alam. My slave does not draw near to Me with anything dearer to Me than what I have made obligatory for him. My slave continues to draw near to Me by doing supererogatory deeds until I love him. When I love him, I become his hearing with which he hears, his sight with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask Me for something, I would surely give it to him, and were he to seek refuge with Me, I would surely grant him refuge. I do not hesitate to do anything as I hesitate to take the soul of the believer, for he hates death, and I hate to hurt him.’ May Allah do what he wills with those that seek to divide, confuse, and destroy this Ummah.

Abu Usamah is a طالب العلم, he has been controversial before. He delivered a talk on Imam Abu Hanifa رحمه الله and said he didn't know if Imam Abu Hanifa was in hell or paradise. He was critical of Sayydinaa Abu Bakr and Sayydinaa Umar رضي الله عنهما but was forced to retract his statement.

Allah created the universe and set it up with means (asbab) and effects/results (musabbabat). just like we use medicine to get better and healed, or food to get satiated, these are only means that Allah set up for His creation. same story with tawassul. just like we don't rely on or "worship" the food/medicine, same story with tawassul. its just a means.

@@quranrecitation7097 it's your choice, nobody said tawassul is wajib. but it IS something firmly established in the Sunna, so you would be deficient in following the Sunna and something the Sahaba used to do. "just plain du'a" isnt always enough, and countless examples in history where someone made du'a for a long time with no result, and then when they added tasawwul to the formula, the result came swiftly.

In the clip he just said "he encouraged shirk (perhaps someone can do something unwittingly), And " recently" means different things in different contexts, to say "most recent prophet" means over 1500 years ago. I am no fan of sheikh Usama Ath Zhahabi , as my current teachers are from Deobandhi affiliation, But to avoid any shadow of shirk it's best to listen to salefi dhawa sheikhs on matters of shirk as they are the safest and most strict on matters of shirk except the ex salefi dhawa sheikh Dr Yasir Qhadhi, But sheikh Abu Usama should clarify his comments because any inference even is very wrong, specially without citing evidences, on top against a dead person, making allegations without substantiation is grave in Islam, may Allah SWT help us understand each other and help us to see the truth as truth and help us to follow it, and help us see false as false and help us to avoid it, Ameen.

Ibn Kathir mentions in Al Bidayah Wan Nihayah that after the death of Ibn Taymiyyah: 1) They recited Quran by the side of the body even before they gave ghusl to it 2) They sought Tabarruk through his ziyarah (looking at him) and by kissing him 3) Then the men left and the women came in and they started to kiss Ibn Taymiyyah 4) People drank the water of the ghusl of Ibn Taymiyyah

He (Abu Usama) doesn't deserve that honour since he came publicly to make heinous claims about another Shaykh who was way more knowledgeable and elderly. It's even worse that the said Shaykh is now late.
