Just to make you even more emotional, BoA was the overall director and produced this new rendition of Dreams Come True, and Bada actually participated in the writing of the new parts. There is a mini-docu posted SM that shows the making of aespa's version and seeing BoA and Bada mentor the girls was extremely heartwarming to watch

The fact that BoA, one of the OG queens, took this song and reproduced it to fit Aespa's young image shows you how much work she did to take an already legendary song and make it even more legendary~

I really, REALLY enjoyed watching your reaction. I also remember loving Dreams Come True by S.E.S. from the late 90's, and I can completely relate to you feeling a lot of nostalgia and emotions seeing Aespa's loving reimagining of this song (BoA did a great job producing/directing this remake). Thanks for sharing your personal connection with this song and how this song reminds you of how Kpop helped you through your difficult teen years. ; ) Happy new year, and I can't wait to see what content you will gift us with during 2022. ; )

Dreams come true by S.E.S was the first Kpop song I ever listened to. I wasn’t even aware of Kpop back when the song came out. My best friend introduced me to the song and I immediately fell in love with it. I officially started my Kpop listening journey in 2004.

I discovered k-pop with Blackpink Dududu, which wasn't so long ago. Now I am 30. So I am pretty late to the party. But I keep diving in in this world. And I am loving it! This melody though... It gives me weird feelings. It makes me nostalgic, probably because the sinth itself very 90s. And even though I didn't listen kpop back then, it reminds me 90s pop in general. Also this melody making me a little bit sad and jealous of people, who heard it before. It's like I want to be fan of S.E.S., but it's too late, I missed the boat. So in short. These few notes, this melody is very impactful for me. Stuck in my mind and soul

Dream come true really is dream come true. BoA first time be composer, Bada teach Aespa singing, Bada write the lyrics with BoA. The youngest girl group sing the oldest girl group, only SME, who understand this feeling. I do like Aespa, they're freaking talent, this song can't success without Aespa-BoA-Bada. SMe going crazy when they debut Aespa. Can't believe that I love Kpop again because Aespa. (After SNSD). Btw: I hope Karina cover BoA no.1 with BoA producing it.

Definitely the best reaction video! I think we're about the same age then... because I teared up around the same spots that you got emotional. 90s/early00s were tough times for me and listened to these 90s Kpop songs to spend time alone. Thanks for the video!
@happy_camper3 жыл бұрын
Oh wow.. I cried with you just then, aaahh.. I really felt that. That part of the song is special, like a time machine to the 90s. It’s the part that really hits you when you hear it, and when you see that little animated dude. It’s a heart-felt reference to the original. I didn’t know the song at that time, as I got into kpop a few years later, but I feel the nostalgia for that period of time and it takes me back. We are close in age, which is why your channel always speaks to me. But wow, taking that one step further..I moved when I was 15 too. It was so hard. I moved a lot when I was really little, because my dad was in the army. But when I was in high school, that last move was difficult to overcome, and it affected things for years afterwards. I never made any true friends at my new school. And the “friends” I did make treated me like shit. Similar to you, I had to deal with family members as well. I felt like an outcast everywhere. The distance made things complicated between me and my old friends, and we had a slow painful falling-out over several years. But music always kept me going. I lived on j pop/j rock forums back then and made friends online, which my family couldn’t understand at that time (early 2000’s). I felt alone everywhere except online. Music literally saved my life, and every once in awhile I’m reminded of that. Crazy isn’t it?? We keep going ❤️💪

Yet most of my family are feeling sorry for him. My cousin told me that “the people who help are always the ones who are wrong for some reason” and he’s absolutely right. So I have some not shirt people in my family at least. But it still sucks to be the one that “ruined Christmas” and a terrible human being. I don’t know if it’s like this for you that you’re just bullied by your family just because and there’s always one golden child that needs protection even if they’re in the wrong. I just wanted to say that I can relate in a way. For me it’s sucks feeling like you’re alone in a situation and it helps to know that there’re others who are going threw similar things
