The “OG” was built to play in more ankle support higher in the back for protection of the Achilles, The retro is made for casual wear so some of the cuts will be lower (in my opinion) to have the jeans sit well in the shoe lol I like the “OG” suede on it gives it a little more nostalgia to the shoe lol 😆 @MJO23DAN thanks for the upload enjoyed the comparison.

Bought back so many memories I was 16 when I had the OG’s back in 94. This comparison was perfect and can definitely tell between 94 release and 2018 release the difference. The og’s back then were darker and much better looking. I had the Taiwans Jordan and although I got the 2018’s I’m still missing the Jordan 1’s and these shoes from back in the day! still have my 94 pair from senior year of high school, still have the cdp pair and am more then happy with the 2018 pair. we don't get a lot of second chances in life but just the fact the same shoes re release over and over again i am good. if someone said you could go back to a time in life but maybe with some tweaks and maybe it was a certain period you remember fondly i wouldn't mind certain tweaks as long as it is similar. thanks for all the work you put into these comparison videos. i even thought the 08 pair was nice

I really don't like what they did with the pull tab on the retro, its actually not flimsy, but the majority of pairs that I've seen come with a crease that malforms it and makes it look like cheap bs. I used the wet rag and hot iron method that that every one knows minimizes creases on toe boxes and applied it to the pull tab. Now my pulltab is crease free and its funny that such a small detail makes the shoe look 1000X more incredible. I hope this helped someone out there.

I thought about that too but I’ve seen other pairs of DS OG Shadows and they seems to be all inconsistent in color depending on country of manufacture. I personally think Taiwan (these) are the better looking pair.

Nice work big M. Its weird, having the 2018 Shadow 1s how JB stuck with the browner, truer shade of Shadow Grey yet on these, it's a lighter, Medium grey shade. It still looks good but distinctly different. I prefer that OG shape, especially the narrower, pointier toe. Are the laces the same feel and thickness? One thing not covered that I'm curious about. Like you, I'll hafta grab a pair at some point but can't justify full retail for em.

Yes. I was even comparing a Korea based OG Shadow X a local consignment shop had and the uppers are a different shade. Unsure if age plays a big role here as well as the condition of their pair but from the naked eye, the shades of grey looked different OG to OG.

How do they run. I have a narrow foot but wear orthotics in my shoes. My normal size is a 7 but I heard the tongue with the elastic pulls make the toe box tight. Then I heard some other utubers say they wear tts. Please advise. First pair of tens.

You seem very confident on that. I don’t think resellers are going to be high on this colorway because it’s not limited and it’s not a hyped shoe. As for retail, $190 for this is fine. Just not something that’s on the top of my list. Even Cement 3s restocked several times and they’re only going for $40 over box price on the resale market.

Your statement is false. I’ve owned a couple pairs from Taiwan and Korea and there are a couple factors that determine which pair is from which country. Besides the obvious with the direction of the Jumpman on back, the uppers can be a different color such as an an greenish oiled tone to dark shadow. As noted in the video, the Jumpman direction on back will typically determine which pair is from what country of origin and this is true pretty much all the way down the line of the original Jordan 10s colorways.
