Antonia Ruppel also offers classes periodically through the platform "yogic studies", where she - obviously - uses her own textbook. I took one and it was fabulous. 2 weekly live zoom classes plus tons of additional materials that can be downloaded.

Glad to hear that! I'm hoping to take the class in the near future.

@@canterburycreekbooks5150 I agree that her course is amazing. Working through both books, I like Egenes for doing and re-doing the exercises. Egenes covers a LOT of ground, but not in nearly as much depth as Antonia Ruppel. I find them to complement each other quite well.

Liked the review. I also think both are good books but Egenes' book is good for beginners whereas Ruppel's book is good for advanced learners.

I'm glad you liked the review. And I completely agree; I tend to go back to Egenes' book for thee simple grammatical explanations, but I love the readings and sandhi charts in Ruppel's. Both are great in their own ways!

Thanks for the info! Have you kept up with this goal? If so, how goes it? I have a degree in classics but only just started studying Sanskrit recently. Have you gained any special powers? 🖖😂

Yes, I have been! It's been going really well. I studied some Latin and Greek in college, but Sanskrit has been far more enjoyable for me. As for special powers, I can almost touch my toes, but I think I'll need to finish the book before I can do it!
