I hope Koei is eventually faithful to characters' real deaths, such as with Mitsunari being beheaded. Yukimura loudly admitting to everyone that he was too tired to continue fighting and literally welcoming death with open arms, offering himself to anyone whom wished to kill him, earned his legendary status as the greatest samurai of their time and he absolutely deserves an accurate portrayal; I hope he eventually gets it.

As awesome as that would be, i dont think they'll even do something that brutal in thier warriors games. Like especially when there's no blood or anything in it. and with SW and DW both being having some inaccuracy and fiction to it, which is natural being a anime type and fictionalize version of history game and all. I think at best Yukimura may be the only one who ever gets his actual death at some point. Mitsunari probably not especially when he is the fan favorite in Japan. Even then i am not too sure if they will ever do that with Yukimura either. given there is plenty of fictional stuff in the games.

Napoleon I Nobunaga was considered a fool. And never actually fought as often as you thought he did. Masamune was a young ruler who was reckless and got lucky. And could fight. Tadakatsu's goodish.

Very late response but that is pretty much what he does by the end. He never openly shouts it but when people surrounding him he can't muster up the will to even raise a finger and outright says "you may take my head" Coupled with how in the battles beforehand you could see him gradually get more and more tired, its prey accurate honestly.

Just for some clarification, There are Rare Weapons. There is (Interestingly) No Trophy for getting One/ Any/ All of them....

Creciente pretty easy. Get S rank on said stage and grab from smithy. Easy leveling using exp balms at Sanada Maru. Using my high level wisodm scroll on top of it helped characters go from lv 1 to 40 in 6 minutes

lol even though Yukimura is the poster guy on the covers of the game and its understandable he gets a story centred around him, I wonder if Koei is considering branching out and making centred story games on other characters? Like I can see them making one about Mitsunari, the dude takes the number 1 character popularity polls EVERY time lol

Avalon64 Only Yukimura and Lu Bu have received Musou games centered around them so far, I don't know who else would carry enough weight to be honest though as both die at the end of a major battle they couldn't possibly win.

BDevilScholar yeah and for the Lu Bu one they still had to make up a ton of plot points and fictitious battles just to make it long enough since he died way before the 3 Kingdoms era, if creative liberties needs to be taken to expand it then Koei can do that, alot of characters can carry the weight, Koei jsut needs to make a story out of it and again if you look at Japan's character popularity poll because let's face it they are the market they are catering to first you can have a good idea who are some of the most popular characters since they consistently take the top 10 spot

Popularity polls are the reason that Mitsunari, Gracia and Takatora all got stories in SW4-II and it's probably why Mitsunari is now playable character in 'Musou Stars'. Tbh I think the only character who's life could be done is Toshiie Maeda, He's pretty interesting, He was the most powerful in the land after Hideyoshi and Ieyasu, and he lived quite long. Nene isn't changed at all. And From what I remember playing the English version, Chacha is basically never referred to as one of Hideyoshi's wives, nor does it mention that Hideyori is their son... which is pretty weird

Chacha is Hideyori's replacement basically, I'm fine with him not being in the game, as it would have been another character to introduce in the last two chapters of the game, having Chacha as the replacement is probably better as it's Yukimura (and a few other characters like Kai's) reason to fight. Would it improve her? maybe? It would have changed her certainly because the story wouldn't end full circle with her having the same fate as her parents. I can imagine he'll be added in SW5 and Chacha's involvement in the story will change because of it.

In DW3 it could take up to an hour or more to kill 1000 enemies on hu lao gate in order to unlock LuBu. Especially if you were just starting a character lol

Lel im playin the game on switch atm imported from japanese eshop so I dont have a single clue what's happening with the story Enjoying the game mechanics for the most part and cannot wait to play the story again when it comes in the west and hopefully along with english dub but that won't happen -_- X)

I definitely plan to buy this just because of alot of the rpg elements. and because of the new characters. i wasnt expecting the core gameplay to change to much id probably still play as the previous characters bcuz of how thier some of my faves there. tho i am hoping they add Muramatsu as a DLC playable character similiar to what hyrule warriors did. but the dojo thing does sound like a big hassal. but anyway nice review

To be honest, I hate Yukimura (the Koei character). The real guy, Nobushige Sanada was a badass and this anime pretty boy doesn't do him justice in my opinion. It's cool he got his own game and all, but I'm quite sick of this character getting so much of the spotlight. He didn't really even do much until around the Sekigahara period, yet these games often shoehorn him into every single battle. Ones he wasn't even in. My God, he was obnoxious in the first Samurai Warriors.

This game actually puts Yukimura in less of a spotlight, and instead stars Masayuki for a lot of the game, until Yukimura is on his deserving spotlight; the Osaka Campaign. So to say that in this game is an exaggeration, really.
