his father is showing him love by giving him the best gift and by showing him what a Richard he became plus he used to be his son at one time so kicking Eric in his ego was great love from his dad..& .how cruel of college kids who should know better than to make fun of someone like Angela like crummy high school.. he's got a good dad.. and this reminds me alot of the parable of the prodigal son

Nice story. Angela is such nice daughter caring for her mother as well doing her study and work. Eric's dady has given his son chance to work and find what life is all about. Eric show something special about Angela and Angela help Eric when he need help. Now the two are dating and Eric ask the father to help Angelina's mother which he did. He was happy that Angelina help to change Eric's attitude. This is a nice story and happy ending.

Nice story. I myself was raised upper middle class but not by much. My father tried to marry up but that was a mistake. My mom was a nice person but she was terribly spoiled having been raised rich. From her generation growing up in the 1940s, rich girls were not raised to be independent and self reliant. She never worked a day in her life and we always had full time maids which was a complete mistake. Her parents were always giving her money under the table which was terrible and she never was what I would call and adult. She never could accept responsibility and our house was always a mess. She was a decent artist and could cook but was very self involved and I felt I was on my own even before I was 13. I had to take care of myself because no one was going to give me a hand. So in that regard I was very lucky. I was from that generation. I am now 74 that was raised to do what we were told to do and I did. It was really unfair but I did this They told be to be a professional. a lawyer, and I did this even though the chances of doing it successfully were low. Fortunately, by accident I met my wife who was raised, lower middle class. Both of her parents worked and she was a working girl herself like the girl above. She is a complete busy body, always doing something practical which was the complete opposite of my mother. We pulled together for the common good and have had a good life. Her boys absolutely love her and she instilled a solid work ethic in them which is what the above guy learned from his girlfriend. Most men have no idea how important this is in a woman but thank god I ran into her. My mother, was self absorbed rich girl and spent no time with her grandsons so when she died it was as if a distant relative passed. We went to the funeral but that was it, nothing more. Sad. Shows you how wealth can be destructive. Fortunately the kid above wised u by running into his girlfriend and maybe that is the moral of the story. Good for him.

Eric’s father and Angela was Eric’s salvation. Because of them Eric became a totally different person. More responsible and with the right moral values. It was wonderful that he married Angela with the full approval of his father. The kind father had also paid fir Angela’s mother’s treatment and she had fully recovered from her illness.
