I love, love, love how this beautiful cards turned out. Such a wonderful idea. The shaker elements loos so beautiful and make the cards look very special. I don’t own any Valentines collections would you believe but I am sure these would work with many collections. Great for Birthdays or Thank you cards. I am in love with all those little bows you have used. I love adding bows to my projects. Thank you so much for another fun and inspiring tutorial.🙂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hey Maree, yes, they would work with any theme you like. I stopped buying Valentine's collections years ago, the supplies you saw in the video is pretty much everything I have and yep, bows just go with everything!! I have yet to find a project that a bow did not make better 🤣

Hi Gwen. These cards are all truly amazing. I just made my hubby's Valentine card yesterday. I used non-traditional colours. The card base is navy. Then I put a gorgeous layer of a navy and yellow tile print on top. Then topped that with six navy embossed hearts. I printed the inside verse onto coordinating yellow paper. It's certainly different and eye catching. Thanks so much. 🇨🇦😊❤

I’m not a fan of shaker cards because I struggle with them but love the idea of stitching a pocket. The cards are so pretty. Thanks, Gwen.

Hey lovely, I struggled with them too until I found this way. It's kind of a cheat because the pocket is made for you already (least on 2 or 3 sides), it's much easier to manage this way.

This is a way you can use another cheat if you don't sew. We R makes the fuse tool which will heat and fuse plastic pockets.

I have the fuse tool and I've not loved it... I think I have trust issues because I'm never 100% sure it will hold long term. I used to use it and then add my stitching over the top and then figured that it was kind of a waste to do it that way and I should just go straight to the stitching 🤣 I guess that's easy for me to say because I'm a confident sewer. If I wasn't so confident, doing it with the fuse first would make it easier.

Hey Jo, I'm sorry, I'm not sure which bit you mean? The one that says 'Love' - I think that's a cut apart... the peach one that says 'Happy Valentines Day' is an ephemera piece. All of these were from pretty old collections though so I couldn't tell you which ones exactly. I think they were all Crate Paper brand though.
