I totally agree with you on the things you said... and that he had all the goods as one of the best without steroids. Lastly, what do you think of baseball (and sports) nowadays - is the testing “good enough” or will there always be the bad guys trying to develop PEDs and staying one step ahead of the tools for testing. Do I respect him after the what he did? Yes because he has been able to look past it and move on with his life. A lot of people can't do that so I admire him for it. BUT, I completely disagree with one thing: A lie is NOT a mistake. A mistake is when you are UNINTENTIONALLY wrong. A lie is INTENTIONALLY wrong. People who don't understand baseball, just don't understand how good A-Rod really was... the PEDs helped his athleticism, but he would've been outstanding baseball player regardless (just like, say, Barry Bonds...). Without a doubt, A-Rod is one the greatest baseball players in history, just on numbers alone. For a guy that screwed up so much of his reputation by making dumb mistakes with awful timinghe certainly seems more mature and humble than ever before. Good for him.
