Thank you Nabu-san for the great video and for sharing so many tips on one of my favorite specialty rods. Numata-san is truly a genius of shore jigging. By the way, I like the cork handle too. The old models had EVA foam and they switched to cork in the latest models. I think the main reason is to increase sensitivity a little bit. This is a good decision for shore slow which is all about taking the bottom with light jigs, so not always very easy to feel the bottom for beginners.

I just ordered the Shoregun Evolv 96ML. I have accumulated many rods over time: GLoomis GLX, IMX, E6X, TFO, Lamiglas, Major Craft, Shimano, Daiwa, Rogue, Fenwick, and St. Croix. Will see if the Palms surpass what I have.

Thank you for this great work, my friend. You need more than 27.000 follower! I have a question to the technique. 1. you cast and let sink the jig to bottom 2. then you reel in , and let also sink to bottom? or is just reel and then wait 1 second and reel again. So basically I ask if you always need to wait for the jig to touch the bottom or can you do the same movement/technique in the middle or upper water? Thank you again and good weekend.

Hello Thank you, almost take bottom , then reel or Jerk then tension fall(No open Bail) or free fall(open bail) then take bottom again & again, but depends on situation, for example early morning and fish active situation, we can do same action in middle or near the surface. but if no active situation, nobody catch fish situation, almost take bottom again and again ! There aren't many times during the day when the fish are active, so I often aim for the bottom. Thank you!!

We have the European Seasbass in my country but I know 100% during the day the seabass (because of sunlight) are in deeper water like 10meter or more and not very active.. thank you very much for help

ときどき登場する神戸の沼田メッソッド拘り釣師大橋です。私も旧モデル993と新モデル992を持っています。正に的を得たショアスロー釣法解説動画ありがとうございます。 私はショアスローモデルを主にサーフ用あるいは海底が砂地の時に使っています。理由は底から2～3ｍのレンジを安定して引けるロッド設計になっている事、ティップが他のタイプの ロッドに比べて強めに設定されているので着底から直ぐに浮かせ根掛りを回避し易い事です。ハタゲームをする場合でも底に根があっても根掛りしにくいのでこのロッドを 使います。逆に真鯛や黒鯛等ジグに違和感を感じると直ぐにはなすタイプも魚には不利なロッドになると考えています。また、同じ40ｇのジグ使い続けたい時ロッドパワーの違いを 利用して大きな動き993、小さな動き992と使いわける事が出来るのもこのロッド設計の特徴かと思っています。今のところ懐事情で991迄手を出せずにいるのですが、奥の深い 釣が出来るパームスショアガンモデル、ショアスローモデル（992，993）、ブルーランナーモデル（103Ｈ＋，103ＸＨ）、レギュラーモデル（103Ｍ、103ＭＨ）の6タイプを 使いわけ日本の青物、フラットフィッシュ、ハタ等のショアジギングを楽しんでいます。これからも参考になる動画楽しみにしています。

その代わりシマノさんやDAIWAさんのロッドは持っていません。ビギナーのころはどちらも使った事あるけれど、こちらが標準なのかもしれませんが、私にはパームスロッドにくらべて硬すぎて釣味に面白味がなく予備のロッドとして眠っていたり、処分しました。パームスロッドはシマノさんやDAIWAさんのロッドよりワンランク柔らかいけれど、粘りは表記通りって感じです。Ｍで16lbsリーダーみたいな極ライトなシステムでも鰤を上げられました。因みにフックは1本のされていました。パームスロッド最高です！！！

Hey, great and very informative video! I'm wondering if it's a good idea to get the 993 as an all purpose rod? I'm interested in the slow jigging techniques, but I would also like to have the opportunity for fast jigging and also surf casting lures like twisters? Would the 993 be a good first starting shore jigging rod or am I better of with a more "generic" option?

Hello! 993 is good, but if you just start shore jigging, normal rod is better, normal rod can do slow jigging as well, if you go fishing many many times like me, you can buy 993 as a second rod. But, of cause 993 can use as a normal rod, but little bit tip section have more power than normal rod, so just retrieve action refuse fish bite sometimes Thank you!!

Thank you very much for the comment! I have very little opportunity to go shore jigging and usually it's only for a few days at a time. I rarely catch "active" fish, which is why I was thinking that with slow jigging rod I can provoke more strikes, yet still have the option to "fast" if needed.

トミィさん　こんにちは！日中によく行くのならショアスロー良いかもしれないですね！！　実は私は今回992を買いましたが動画に出てくる釣り場は、見かけによらず、本来潮が動いているタイミングだと60gでも流されまくるような釣り場です。992で40g,30g投げた時は比較的潮止まり前後でした。旧型の993を持っていて60gをよく前は投げていました。993で60g、激流気味でも底さえ取れれば成立すると思います！　沼田さんがおっしゃるには、993で992くらいの小さめのアクションをするなら少し竿を寝かしてチョンチョンすると良いと。それを聞いてからは私も強さを意識するようになりました！　そうですね、タックルバランス的には5000番でもコンパクトボディーや4000番とか小さめが合う気がします。そういう意味ではSWより汎用機の方が合うかもしれないですね。私はよく17ツインパワーXD　5000　これはコンパクトボディなのでちょうどあってます！　お互いショアスローで渋い時も釣りまくりましょう！コメントありがとうございます！！
