It is very misleading to reference a sheltered balcony cabin as 3rd class. These cabins are particularly sought after for Transatlantic Crossings where the sheltered aspect allows them to be used in bad weather. There are in fact 30 grades of cabin/suite on QM2 and these are about the middle of the range and are by no means the cheapest. Describing the magnificent Britannia Dining Room as for paupers like you is a complete joke. It is by far the nicest room on the ship. Queens and Princess Grill passengers may get a few more food choices but they dine in small tightly packed restaurants with low ceilings. They get a lounge for pre dinner drinks and a small deck area, both in less impressive parts of the ship. Otherwise all passengers have full access to every facility onboard. Your cabin size and layout is identical to those in Britannia Club that folk pay a premium for. All they get is a pod coffee machine that most can't figure out how to use, and a bigger bottle of cheap sparkling wine. And do you really consider yourself to be a pauper? If you were, you wouldn't be on QM2 or any other ship other than perhaps a river ferry.
