That’s a museum you’ve got there; every item has a use, a story and strong memories attached. And your older footage is a great way to remember your Dad. Thanks for sharing it.

Hi Richard. We can clearly see that’s it’s a lot more than a shed full of old stuff. A shed full of great memories, merry Christmas and raise a glass to your dad. 👍🏻👍🏻

Hi Rich, this is a trip down memory lane for me. I well remember the video with your dad and the saw bench. Back in the day I operated much of the machinery you have. I can remember going with my dad to see a neighbour's brand new diesel Ferguson T20. It replaced a Petrol/TVO David Brown. It was replaced with one of the first Massey Ferguson 35's because it had Live Drive. The last time I helped out with haymaking at a small farm I drove a T20 with a New Holland baler , I was worried about the T20 having enough grunt to drive the baler. It did just about but without live drive it was not a easy afternoon. Prior to Live Drive becoming the norm on tractors most balers had a separate engine to drive the baler .

Hi Richard, lovely to see the video of your dad using the t20 and the fergi sawbench i agree that the sawbench was pretty dangerous but if you use it carefully and respect it then you would be ok more to the point I think you should re commission the tractor and the sawbench and take it to some shows and tractor runs it would be a perfect demonstration of the Ferguson system and a nod to your dad and how Ferguson revolutionised agriculture.merry Christmas to you and your family and look forward to your future videos 👍
@LordIronFoot8 ай бұрын
I wouldn't take the bench off the TE20 your dad clearly liked it, if you just remove the belt from the pulley you can keep it on there and use it as and when you need. You could always take it to a nice vintage show some time with the bench. They are hard to get a hold of these days. Loved the video of your Dad using the saw bench, been subscribed for a while now. Lovely bit of kit and a lovely tractor.

Hi Richard! You remind me when of my aunt Ginger, (RIP) she had a bag of trash all stuffed into an old store shopping bag, or sack. It was Christmas time. The bag (big white plastic thing from some store or other) was sitting on the back seat of her car, and it was Christmastime. Ginger was in the shopping mall, picking up a few things. She came back out to her car, and somebody had broken in! They'd stolen the bag! They thought they were getting a store bag full of Christmas packages. Instead, it was a bag full of Ginger's trash! Hahahaha😂

Happy Christmas Richard to you and your family. That certainly stirs memories of farming before the age of the 'big tractors' when I see the kit you were unearthing in that shed. They were hard days but we didn't have the money to spend on the machinery like now. very interesting to see. Best wishes.

I noticed that your 'Seed Broadcaster' was made where I grew up in Earls Colne in Essex. I remember the 'Hunts' siren going off every morning calling all the employees to work... That must have been late 70's early 80's! They no longer exist, It's now a housing estate! A quick bit of research on Google, they closed down in 1988.

A lovely video rich. The fergie and saw bench was one of the first videos I ever watched. I'm sure the cornock chronicles of repairing and working the grey fergie kit would be loved by all. Think how proud your dad would be of you. Keeping the farm afloat while so many sell up. But how much that'd mean to your dad seeing Harry taking the fergie on his first road run when he's old enough or things like that. Have a lovely Christmas

In the states we can’t recycle silage wraps. Such a shame to just throw it away. We also don’t get fertilizer in big bags. I use the small feed sacks we get. I can fit two nets and two wraps in each and they cost $1 each for the dustman to pick up. I hate the job so it only gets done when necessary. Must come up with a better way…

Fantastic videos as always! A nice collection of vintage stuff aswell! Ferguson sawbench is a fantastic tool and my one is certainly faster, safer and more fuel efficient to use in my opinion then a chainsaw for the smaller branches! Much better to keep the pair together but you'd have no lack of people wanting your sawbench if you wanted to sell as it's a very tidy example with all the correct guards!

We have a 1600liter wheeled bin from a container company, they come and collect it 12 times a year. All the waste (except hazardous) can go in there. Cut open a bale, wrap straight jn the bin, so no plastic laying around catching water or rats. Don't believe they re-use the wrap plastic due to the stickyness in that. Or maybe they do these days.

Its funny although this stuff is just all inanimate objects its the memories that go with them that bring them to life. A friend of mine has that seed sower in his collection im sure the bristles are badger hair, i might be able to get some information on it if your interested, he has it on a fergie. It would be great to see your dads fergie out again im sure he would be pleased to see it being used , we could do with some younger people like your boys joining the ferguson club im one of the area reps feel free to contact me for any more information on the club.
