It takes two tango. If you're a bad person, nobody will want to dance with you. The US is wondering why China no longer wants to tango with them. China and Russia doing the tango together is complementary and makes perfect sense.

Both Russia and China will need to increase their MIC production to levels over and above meeting their respective Ukraine and Taiwan objectives, they will need to reach levels capable of winning a third world war, be that conventional or nuclear. Both Russian and Chinese state owned, purpose driven MICs are more than capable of reaching these levels of preparedness; levels that will be difficult if not impossible for the collective West to catch up with let alone match.

13:53 Correction: Free market economics and free trade is a fairly new American philosophy. The US constitution openly promotes protectionism in article 8 and 9. The switch to free trade only started after the end of WW2, coincidentally at the same time it benefitted the US at the expense of everyone else. Same as when the British promoted free trade until the 1900s when it was no longer beneficial.
@bjorntorlarsson
@bjorntorlarsson 22 күн бұрын
No, free trade was at its peak before WW1. The economy is free when government is not involved in it, by definition. The creation of central banks was the most restraining thing that ever happend to the world economy. Money is one half of each transaction.

The toilette paper problem during lock-down was simply that of companies, schools, hotels buying their paper through other distribution channels than what the shops do. When everyone suddenly did their number 2 at home, that distribution channel was overwhelmed while the other one was over stocked.

Its true the US burdens the taxpayer with the $34T debt interest, but the principle is not expected to be paid ever, because but is owed to the dubious fed, and not the IMF. As the principle e escalates, so will the interest, however. It is not unforseeable that interest alone will cripple the US taxpayer

Jacques Baud is someone that has grated me in the past but he’s 💯 right here. There’s nothing the US or the West in general can do about it, they’re too reliant on China and have no vision to succeed without them. His point on electronics is spot on. I have a variety of electronics brands in my house. My iPhone? Made in China. My HP laptops (personal and work)? Made in China. Hell, even my SAMSUNG tablet is made in China. So what the hell are they talking about? What could they actually do? Nothing except grandstand and make things worse

22:23 I have no problem with the term the Rest of the World. I do have problems with the Global South because I've noticed that what it really refers to is the Middle East and Africa. It doesn't include Russia, China, or to be honest South America. (I've noticed this because I've lived in South America for the last 7 years. Whenever the US or Britain referred to the Global South during the covid-19 pandemic for instance, they were always talking about Africa and the Middle East. This is not the only instance I've noticed.) ANYWAY, An better term is the GLOBAL MAJORITY
@izajahmed8863

Asian countries are the majority of the global South but it doesn't necessarily mean they are the one.. for example, S.korea, Japan are in Asia but they are pretty much a US vassal. So, they are not in global South. Global South refers to the one who is officially not a US vassal I think 😂😂

The toilet paper story is wrong because the real issue was stocks for supermarkets vs stocks for offices and factories. There was loads of paper for work places, the shortage was domestic. That and some panic buying. It disappeared pretty quickly with some rebranding or products. At least it did v quickly in UK. Baud is really good when he sticks to the military.

China builds. They have a space station. China successfully completed a mission to the dark side of the moon. They successfully created a “mini sun” on earth via fusion technology. They’ve demonstrated space-based quantum computing satellite communications, (established ultra-secure ground based communication via satellite). They’ve brought hundreds of millions out of poverty in a few decades. China is a founding member of BRICS+. They’ve “bonded” with Russia. Their longterm “Belt and Road” initiative is getting well established. They own ports all over the globe. They are currently / effectively managing US sanctions. (Btw: US sanctions are inflationary … for the US economy). They have not militarily invaded and destroyed any countries (though their cyber and espionage forces have been very successful and aggressive). They have few military bases worldwide but have the largest military in the world. They have hypersonic, weather, and directed energy weapons. “The Art of War”, gunpowder, and rocket launchers were created in China thousands of years ago. China aggressively pursues diplomacy and positive international relations. The culture is ancient, wise, and reserved. All that said, their impending demographic crisis will approach existential levels if not managed via considerable innovation. The US coerces and destroys and supports geno*ide. It is ~ 4.3% of the global population. Its suicidal doctrine remains “global hegemony” as it believes in US “exceptionalism” and that it’s the “indispensable nation” (therefore, all others are dispensable). For all of America that has been good - if not great - it has squandered everything in short order. Today, the US has brought the world to the brink of nuclear war on 2 fronts - and most likely to be 3 soon (China … maybe even 4: North Korea). The country has become a de facto oligarchy. It has zero moral authority. It only knows bullying now. Citizens don’t matter - and the society focuses on everyone’s differences (not that which binds) anyway. Patriotism is a “dirty word” to half the country. It is rudderless. Tragically, it has lost its identity.

The USA has the latent capacity to re-industrialize (at least mostly) and it will likely happen there is a de-dollarization shock in the near future and we simply lose our ability to run our trade deficits (but it will likely take time and be ugly for years), but de-dollarization may be required for it to occur as our political economy had become both extremely concentrated at the top level relative to where it was and has, perhaps more importantly, become very corrupted, and the forces who would stand to lose out from re-industrialization will likely be able to resist it until if and when there is a true shock of the sort that de-dollarization would incur.
@aleksandarbabic766
@aleksandarbabic766 23 күн бұрын
Yap, there is (very) latent possibility to re - industrialization of US. But first US must get rid of DEI and try to reverse all damage. Then to make new generation of skilled workforce, on all levels. For this US needs at least two generations. Then, there id issue with immigrants.. They don't come in 'murca to work, to be part of US society. They come for free lunch. With time they Maybe will become useful citizens.... maybe. But this will not be US, in today sense. Just like Italy is one mediocre European mid size country these fays. Pale shadow of past glory.

India is the most over-rated of the top-10 economies in the world. No natural resources and very little manufacturing. Indonesia is the most under-rated, bypassing Germany in GDP PPP this year. And before 2030 the World Bank says that Brazil and Turkyie(!) will also bypass Germany that will then be only the 9th largest economy.
