It's the grammar that is so difficult in Russian, not the basic words. And for foreigners the worst part is the handwriting. I never made much progress because of the difficulty of copying Russian words in my notebook. I did much better with Lebanese Arabic. Getting used to writing in the Arabic script comes surprisingly easily compared to the Russian script.

If you are trying to write cursive in Russian then yes, but I don't in my everyday life, considering the fact that I'm from Russia. It's not that much more difficult than French I think.

verbs are easy the nouns is the difficult part of Russian grammar imo

@ Living Life. Thank you so much for having taken the trouble to reply to my comment. I was referring to trying to write the printed form by hand. If, as a foreigner you are trying to "print" these letters it is very awkward to devise a system to do so without ever having seen how Russians themselves achieve this. I have two books and both only show the very different cursive form. Do you know any source where a person can see examples of how Russians form the letters? As a comparison, for Latin letters we can write most capitals with just one or two strokes by backtracking a little where necessary. It would be extremely useful to be able to find out how to do this with Russian.

I just found your channel and I'm really enjoying it! You make a great a great couple. I'm thinking of taking Russian next semester because I speak Greek and can already read Russian very easily by learning the few new letters. I'm also very interested in how the word order is more flexible in Russian. I really love learning new languages.

@LivingLifeWithTheShirins8 жыл бұрын
+spring fresh ** Thank you for leaving a comment, but could tell us what "reactioner" means?
@springfresh43448 жыл бұрын
It means that a person (could be a KZbinr) suggests a video for you to watch and you film yourself watching it for people to see your reactions to the content. Look up Tyrone Magnus, he is a reactioner and pretty awesome. But there are a lot out there, I'm just giving you a basic one.
