@kenni411 most cars with drive by wire (throttle is electronic, not a cable like it used to be) have laggy/odd feeling acceleration. Buy a pedal commander, it's a simple plug and play thing and give you a ton of adjustment to make it a little or alot more responsive. Doesn't harm anything, it simply increases the voltage it sends to the little motor opening the throttlebody which increases the speed it opens at.

I got my 23 4Runner ORP with 11k miles. I want to drive the thing until the wheels fall off, fun drive. I don't miss my truck nearly as much as I thought I would.

The best vehicle ever made, I own two of them, I will not be buying anything Toyota makes with a turbo. The new ones will be junk

The turbo burns cleaner which I believe hold priority over gas mileage. Atkinson cycle on a V6 does just the same thing...

Great video, i’m looking at getting a 2012 Toyota fForerunner to replace my 20005 Lexus GX 470 which has a lot of rust on the frame.

Bought mine new in 2019 for a lot less than what new ones are being sold for now. TRD Off Road Premium. Amazing how much prices have gone up in 5 years. Currently have 76K miles. So far only had regular oil changes/ tire rotations, new set of tires, and just had rear brakes done at 75K. The thing still feels like a tank. Hoping to keep it for at least another 5 years. The only downside is gas mileage. But to buy a new car for $50K+ to get an extra 10mpg at most just doesn't seem worth it to me.

Green environmentalists should work on preventing rust. Replacing salt to melt ice.

I don’t think environmentalists would be good at melting ice. If you replaced salt for them they would just become frozen speed bumps…what the heck were you thinking?

I recently subscribed to your channel and love to see your reviews. Perhaps you have guided me to get rid off my love for Honda. I have 2006 accord and 2012 pilot which are the reason of my love for Honda. But now wanted to buy another vehicle and CVT has became a hurdle. Ontop a lot of Chinese brands came with luxury interior but having watched your videos I was about to buy 2024 Xtrail but now considering Mazda CX5. Can you advise between Chevrolet Blazer 2TL and Mazda CX 5 which one is more reliable vehicles in terms of performance and long lasting.
@jordanmercier36162 ай бұрын
Thats why i bought my sequoia, the last of the V8's im banking on it going to go up in value over the next few years when people realize the V6 twin turbskis are less reliable. It's a platinum with the rare red rock interior.

The “clacking” 4.0 v6’s is Normal. Those engines are bulletproof. I, over the years, stay Way clear of Any 4 cylinder….why?….a 6 banger does Not have to work as hard. Forget about gas mileage…..that 4 banger will work it’s nuts off where as the 6 isn’t breaking a sweat. -two cents (FYI- stay Way Clear of direct injection)

I miss the old 350 4 barrel. I need a 4 runner with that
@jonathank76672 ай бұрын
The new 4runners are actually longer than the existing ones. They are definitely not smaller. As a 4Runner owner running Bilstein 5100s makes a HUGE difference in the ride. Far less body roll while turning and far less nose dive when braking. If you don't offroad much they are a good one to have. I took my 4Runner out on the beach and the bilsteins didn't handle the sand ruts as well as I wanted. So I'll probably upgrade the shocks eventually. But they are much better than stock (unless you have the TRD Pro). While I understand the concern about the 4 cyl. engines, I will say that the 4Runner does not have very good low end-torque. This is one area where the 4 cyl blows the 6 out of the water. The 4 has a much better power curve than the 6. Also, having more gears in the transmission is going to help on the highway. Right now, anything over 55 (especially over 70) and the gas mileage tanks because it doesn't have a 6th gear.
@Jim-s6i3b2 ай бұрын
My mileage does well over 70mpg. The 5th gear is good.

Have a 2007 4Runner I bought in 2019 with 220k miles. Have 255k on it now and still seems to be going strong. Debating where I want to keep it until it dies or maybe sell it and get a 2020-2023 with under 70k mile and then hold on to that until it dies.

I always wonder why the twin turbo V6 in the tundra wasn’t just an option for people who wanted it like the F150 ecoboost. I think a lot of people still want V8 trucks.
