It was me who said about setting the timer for the heating, fingers crossed you sorted it and it worked. As for SafeFill, we have one, so far have had no issues filling it up, have heard about Morrisons stopping LPG but that rumour has been flying around for ages. There will always be places you can get it filled if not at Morrisons. There is a campsite not too far from us that have filled ours up before. I personally think they are well worth the investment. I am now off to make Toffee apple cake as it looked delish! Love your Vlogs.

Good to see you both back and getting better. I think thats a load of rubbish regarding the signal at Donkey Creek. When we were there we had full 4g signal on vidafone and 3 with no issues. Get Stewart Longtons to look into it whilst its in. Take care guys. 👍

Great video guys, we missed you lat week, glad to hear you are feeling better though. We have all been suffering with the same thing over the last couple of weeks. Cant believe it is time for you to take the awning down, it only seems five minutes since we helped Tony put it up. The cake looked lovely, the tour fest bake off winning cake was baked in the caravan oven, but it took ages. Anyway nice to have you back on our screens on Sunday night, looking forward to seeing you both at new year. We took the caravan to Westby hall last weekend. Take care and hopefully Tony's cough gets better soon

So different without the awning but can look forward to putting it all back up next season 😀😀😀 I use my air fryer in the caravan never used the grill use our caravan all year only put a porch awning up if staying longer than 3 night Have you thought about a portable power bank to supplement the electric charges up with a solar panel my friend even has a small oven from Lakeland that she has set up in the awning runs off the power bank never has any fear the gas is gonna run out Hope your both feeling better for next week keep warm big drop in temperature forecast happy days

Steel poles are the best for storm conditions, aluminium poles fold like wet cardboard with any pressure on them, seen it so many times over my 41 years of touring caravaning. For seasonal pitches in winter and early spring steel poles is the way to go, never had an issue, even seen me weight the poles down with ropes and heavy weights only ever had a slightly bent poles which can be straightened with applying heat, try doing this with aluminium poles they just snap.

Yea steel poles definitely the strongest using Isabella carbon fibre they take some stick.still touring gotta keep the weight down.

I'm sat in my caravan on donkey creek touring and can't connect to swift command, but phone and WiFi signals are great so I think it's swift command that has the issue!

Hi Debs, just watched this weeks Vlog and can tell you that when we were at Donkey Creek earlier this year (May) we had no problems connecting remotely to the Swift Command system in our Elegance 850. They’re “fobbing” you off!! We’re back at Easter if you are around? Kevin & Linnet.

Great vlog deb n tone…. The DC WiFi signal this last week has been dropping in and out, I lost connection to my cctv camera a couple of times, I always get 4g never had 5g on site.

Re Swift Command we are having the exact same problem and have been given the same answer from Sargent saying we are in a bad signal area. We are in Gloucestershire and have also heard about some in Scotland having the same problem so we can’t all be in a bad signal area!

Morrisons are stopping doing safe gas but a lot of caravan shops and outlets are still doing it. There isn't a problem as yet ,but check before you buy.

I have a safe fill bottle. It’s currently costing me just over £11 for empty to full. The scare mongering about the lpg pumps being taken out is from MFG group garages wanting to take them out. But there’s loads of people that still have LPG cars so they can’t get rid of it on the pumps. It isn’t sold everywhere and that’s the deciding factor, do you have a garage near you that has an LPG pump and do they allow safefill? Some garages don’t as they aren’t aware of the safefill bottles and assume you’re filling a calor gas which is illegal. But there’s a garage near me that allow it and the rivington services in the M61 also allowed me to fill, albeit at £1 a litre a-posed to 0.70p a L at my local. There’s also independent LPG pump stations that allow it too. One round the corner from my work, Bolton Bottle Gas. They also sell the bottles. Hope that helps 👍

Theres a new bug going around, symptoms last months. Not sure if its covid, I always tyest negative. But the other month I had congestion for month, noithing else, then last 30 days, my eyes were watery and red and itchy and scratchy, got medicated drops, helped, then ran out, got bad again,. Nov 16 got more medicated drops, seems going away. My sis been battling chest congestion as well and she has asthma too.

Deb / Tony. Sorry this is a bit long winded folks but I had to comment on the Swift Command. Mine has not worked from day one, no matter where I am in the country. Like you, I was being palmed off with the 'poor signal' excuse by Sargent, now i'm just being ignored. Here's the thing. It appears Command uses the old 2G network. 3, 4 or 5G signal strength doesn't matter. However, 2G is due to be phased out completely by 2033 at the latest, so between now and then, mobile operators will be switching off their 2G transmitters till eventually there are none, leaving our Swift Command systems quite useless. Even if they're not switching the transmitters off early, they will not be maintaining or updating them. I suspect this is 'part' of the problem. What I want to know is, why was this obsolete piece of kit (I was going to use a rhyming word) included in a brand new £50k caravan? Are Swift or Sargent offering an upgrade? 2033 may be a while away but mine isn't working now. On the bright side, that cake looked braw Deb. Geez a bit 👍
