A Safeguard for the Soul (Day 27)

Brief meditations for each day of the month written by Saint Nikodemus of the Holy Mountain.
I read through each of these recently in a prayer book given to me by a dear friend and found them a very sobering and important reminder that I will not be on this earth forever, and I need to prepare to meet my Lord and Savior, which may happen at any moment. I hope you also find them helpful and beneficial.
May our Lord help us to turn away from our selfishness and to love Him and all with all our soul, mind, heart and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves.
