I also grew up in Scotland. Young women are totally lost. As soon as they are old enough they are thrown out to the wolves to survive alone. With some support you can make it but many do not have any support. I was also brought to Islam for similar reasons you discussed. Your story was a joy to hear - I related to every word. Truly amazing story. I'm sure this is inspiration for others like you who were previously curious, however, this was actually more inspiring for me (a born Muslim). Reverts like you make me think and really appreciate being born into the religion. I can't imagine how difficult of a decision it is to revert and tell my family/friends etc. despite the media agenda and what not.
