Carter County Attorney Brian Bayes never thought he was a candidate for a heart attack, but his family history of heart disease led to him to take a calcium scoring test. This quick, non-invasive test uses a CT scan to determine the amount of calcium buildup in your arteries. Bayes learned he had significant buildup, and a follow up catheterization revealed a 90% blockage of the Left Anterior Descending Artery, also known as the widow maker.
