You mean a frozen daquari? Absolutely. Quite a few of the bars on the open decks should be able to do that for you. There are also several frozen drink machines at the Peaky Parrot on deck 5.

Getting ready to head out for Utopia cruise next week. Do you advise getting the drink package?

There are two scenarios where it makes sense: 1) You don't want to have to think about it each time - so you're just paying for the convenience (and getting to try anything you want). 2) You look at the menus and your itinerary and you think you'd spend more on bottled water, specialty coffees, soda, and alcoholic beverages than what you'd pay for the package. This depends a lot on not just how much you drink while on the ship and at Coco, but what you drink. You can sign up once you board. There is no cost. For Aqua Theater shows there is also a standby line for those without reservations, but that tends to be a bit harder than shows in the main theater (which often have available space).

Curious about something…you’ve now also been on the Icon…since they’ve relocated the Aqua show essentially indoors and up to the top-middle of the ship (where, one would assume, the theatre would be less affected by wind/wave motion than in an outdoor open air location on the aft)…were there fewer Aqua show cancellations? ..We were on Oasis last October and FIVE of the eight schedules performances were either cancelled or drastically shortened…the only performance we got to actually see only went off without problems because we hadn’t left port at Port Canaveral until 2/3 of the way through the show…quite disappointing because I would’ve Loved to catch Aqua ‘80’s a second time!

I was only on Icon once, and didn't get to see the show there, as they had cancellations - though I don't recall if it was a technical issue with the new show (it was the maiden) or a motion problem. I'd strongly suspect they have fewer cancellations, that was the point of the design, but I don't have data (anecdotal or concrete) to support or dispell that theory.

I'd need to ask, but to be honest, for this sailing it's somewhat irrelevant, as there are many contractors, a lot of folks working on a movie being shot on board, invited guests, agents, etc (and fewer kids than normal). In other words, another sailing with the number of people on now would likely feel materially different in that way.

Any word about if they’re planning on doing something like the railway restaurant on Star of the Seas (..um…asking for a friend….who’s booked on the 1/24/26 cruise…who strangely is ALSO named “Ed”…)?

I'm not aware of what changes we'll see on Star (other than, I believe, an additional hot tub). I'll try to remember to research this though.

I thought it was great. Warmer than indoor a/c but muuuuuch cooler than outside. Similar to Wonder from what I recall. I wonder if something was awry in your wonder sailing.

Watching through your video I noticed that they allow smoking on the pool deck at the Lime in the Coconut. That would be a no go for me since I have allergic reactions to cigarette smoke. This is why I cruise Disney, they keep the smoking area up and away from the family areas. In this day and age, with more and more people not being able to, nor wanting to be around cigarette smoke, this is a horrible decision for RCL.

It's a considerable smoking area, but also a large ship. It's easy to avoid if you remember it's there, which is the challenge for me, TBH.

@@CruiseHabit Respectfully, as someone who is extremely sensitive and allergic to it, the smoke is going to be in that whole area. Meaning that deck would be off limits to someone with issues with it. And that is a big deal to not have access to that pool area even just to walk past it. The reality is that many people are not have a horrible sense of smell and are not bothered by it, especially not to the level as someone who gets reactions from it. More and more people every year are having medical episodes due to cigarette/vape/perfume/cologne exposure. I think that in this day and age, the cruise ships should be doing a better job of placing smoking areas away from main areas.

I think it works best for locals or those connecting it with a Disney or other FL vacation. One nice thing is that some shows and events are different on the four nighters, and it seems a lot of folks are looking at B2B.
