Yes, I thought she was finished at one point. You could see he knew he made mistakes after he moved - shaking his head. Time was a factor. Alice played wonderfully as usual, especially for her age. But he failed to win.

@@roydondsa Rearranging the clock would be against the rules (think about that). Also if the light was on the wall, someone clearly as logical as you claim to be, would notice that the shadows indicate they are NOT coming from the wall, especially with ambient light producing secondary lighter shadows pointing TOWARD the wall. I would try applying an antireflective film to the clock faces. That would be fast, inexpensive and likely effective.

Alice, and her brother are incredible. I only come across them earlier this evening, and I haven't been able to stop watching them. It's rather interesting, and astonishing to see how they play so effortlessly while not looking stressed for one moment. Haa, it's very cool watching these chess matches.

Alice’s smirk at 24:36!! She is really quite a talent. And always fun to watch. Her losses are as interesting as her wins most times. I’ve gone through most of her videos here and I’ve yet to see a game where she was outright dominated by her opponent. I’m not saying there aren’t any such occasions - just that I haven’t come across them so far. I’d appreciate anyone sending me an instance of her being truly outplayed.

девочка хорошо понимает позиционку тем более с конями,это надо развивать.иногда пропускает контригру и не уничтожает одного из слонов чтобы играть по этим полям,возможно изза времени или не хватки опыта игрового.но это можно и нужно подтянуть и в будущем это гросс получится по стилю как Ботвинник.кто ее знает или ее тренера покажите ей книги и партии Ботвинника.ей понравится и повысит мастерство.так или иначе Алиса желаю тебе терпения,трудолюбия,никогда не сдавться на пути к успеху,и тогда все само придет,все будет!

I am amazed at the positional judgement of the man, nothing to say about his calculations (gifting pawns). For the entire game he preferred his almost unemployed, uncoordinated, and blocked bishops over the girl's active knights, avoiding exchanging them. He was destined to lose.

The kid is playing above her rating and the guy did make a bad move and got upset losing to a significantly lower ranked player. Happens in professional chess too even at the highest levels. If you make such a statement, unless you want to rewrite the rules of chess, you should be prepared to prove that he did this with the express purpose of distracting the opponent. I looked at the time frame and didn't really see anything conspicuous so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I analyzed the game, then only commented. -2.1 advantage with the move which he gestured and -5.6 advantage with the move which she played. 3.5 more advantage is very much significant and is almost always winning.
