I thought it was well known that John Haynes and Serban Ghenea have been mixing in the box exclusively for the better part of the last 15+ years. Serban was actually one of the first big name mixing engineers that stated he no longer used hardware during his mixing process. I'm sure he used the machine head at some point, but if what he has stated about his personal workflow is true, he probably hasn't used it as a significant part of his work in a long time. @@david_djent Mate, don’t judge people. I might be a noob or a legend-you never know what is behind a fun account. Especially this is your first video that crack the 1k views during all these years. What I’m saying is that as you just started your channel to get views, don’t follow the BS titles others use. The secret weapon is not a secret if people know about it. Not too long ago, they had that “Swiss knife” title, and now they’ve moved to "secret weapon." Stand out with your titles, it’s not one piece of equipment that make the record mastered it’s many and at the end it’s our ears. FYI, many top mastering engineers used the MH back in the '90s, but it didn’t find a way to stay on the rack shelf, that what you call rare been discontinued due to no sales. Ask Darcy if she requested one to be added in Valhalla studios. You have my respect for not deleting the comments. That’s all. Good luck.
@david_djent7 ай бұрын
@@havefun7203 yeah I’ll never delete comments unless they’re like really bad haha. I respect you for the real feedback on the titles! If you led with that I probably wouldn’t have been snarky, my apologies I also had just wrapped a long session lol However I do think the title and thumbnail are incredibly appropriate in this particular instance. Not many people know about the MH, or have heard it and it can’t be compared to like an 1176 or neve because those aren’t secrets weapons, everyone uses them. There may have not been many adopters of the MH early on but that also doesn’t mean that all of a sudden it’s popular, and Serban did infact use this on the majority of his work for the majority of his career. Since I have direct relationship with the people developing the plugin, they confirmed this from Serban during product development and there are nods about this from John Hanes on gearspace about it if you dig deep enough. Serban is absolutely one of the biggest mix engineers in the world and arguably to have lived, so again I believe the title and thumbnail are very appropriate. This actually is not my first video to go north of 1k, you can see the times of upload on previous videos but yes of course I’m definitely going to play the “KZbin game”, it’s just the nature of the platform. I did not know the MH was referred as a “Swiss knife” that’s new to me! Thanks for checking out the video though and taking the time to banter with me 🤙
