hello! i want to move to korea and i need some things to tell my mum since she doesn’t want to move… i need like cost of living, food, education, things to do and shopping! and most importantly, that it’s a good place even though its small

@@justmekaylee hello hello! i’m not sure i’m quite qualified to give you any advice, especially since my move to korea was only for a study abroad semester, so not a permanent move. there are endless things to do you seriously will never be bored (from karaoke to cute cafes to amusement parks…), the public transportation is reliable and quite easy to follow, korea is comparatively a safe country to live, and there are endless restaurant options! ☺️ i would keep in mind whether your mom would find life in korea fun and, if she still works, how probable it would be for her as a foreigner to get a job. employment for foreigners, especially in cities and if you don’t know Korean, can be quite tough 😓 i definitely recommend doing some research about things such as cost of living, which area you’d like to move, which school or university would be best for you, and so on. i would also recommend learning how to read Korean and how to say some basic phrases (although you can get by with just English, i think learning basic Korean would be best for the long-term) 👌 i won’t try to persuade you into moving or not moving, but if you are really passionate and believe you could be happy in Korea, i wholeheartedly recommend learning as much as you can about living in Korea and doing some thorough research before preparing to move. there are quite a few creators on KZbin and Instagram that make videos about living in Korea and those helped me out a lot in my research! i think that kind of commitment to learning about Korea may persuade your mom the same way my dedication to studying in Korea convinced my parents to let me go! good luck and wishing you the best 🤍
