Quite a good review, as always, but the premium brands don’t have the same status as the used to have, as they have cut their cloth to meet cheaper competition.

Why didn't you review the 220d AMG premium? That is a fairer comparison to the disco sport.

Discovery is great to drive when it is able to drive between repairs. I'd opt for GLB.

I test drove this car - I’m one of these people who is in no way a badge snob. Take the badge off the car and I could see no valid reason why anyone should buy it unless you absolutely had to have 7 seats. I had the car for about 30 hours and it just wasn’t worth the money…..but as I said I’m not bothered about the badge on a car.

I would expect that those cars are similar to the ones sold across the pond in the states. meaning, as soon as the warranty expires, the maintenance and repair costs are astronomical. no thanks! 💯🤑💰🙆💯💥 p.s. Is Motorpoint in UK like Carvana or Car Max in the US? 🤔

All cars are now built to last the length of the warranty then expire, with plastic components everywhere under the bonnet. You may as well buy the cheapest in its class and save your money.
