I love those artichoke hearts! I’ll chop them up with tomatoes and chick peas, add a tiny bit of olive oil, salt and pepper and toss with shredded lettuce and feta and serve with Naan or Pita bread 🙂

Regarding reusing the pickle juice: when you pickle fresh cucumbers and can them you make a boiling hot liquid out of vinegar, water and pickling spices and salt. You put the cut cukes in a canning jar, pour in enough hot liquid to a little below the top. You then process the jars in boiling water for 20 minutes or so to kill the germs and make the lids seal. For the spices to work their way through the cukes, you let them sit for at least a month before eating. WIth that being said, I think you could reuse the pickle juice with fresh cukes, and leave them in your fridge for a month or so. You can also use the juice in other dishes like chili.

Hello Natasha. Yes, you can reuse pickle juice however you must boil it first. You can add more vinegar, water and spices before boiling so you have enough liquid to cover the pickles. You can put them in the same jar just pour boiling water into to sterilize it. Love your channel. Have fun and stay safe. Peace and Blessings.

Natasha, yes, you can use the pickle brine to pickle cucumbers however, they won't taste exactly the same because the brine is considered "spent". Some of the salt has been absorbed by the pickles, so the subsequent cucumbers will be pickling in a less salty brine. You can also pickle hard boiled eggs in the brine (only let them sit in the brine a couple days otherwise the texture gets rubbery)

I put cucumbers in jars of leftover pickle juice all the time! It started when I got the organic persian cukes and they went bad (grungy) fast, so I cut them up and put them in a jar with the spicy pickle juice. I too love the kosher spicy pickles, but my store is sporadic about having them in stock, so I add chopped garlic and jalapenos to regular pickle juice. Long story short, yes, put whatever you want in pickle juice or the other way around-for example, I also miss the dill mustard, so I mix some pickle juice in plain mustard. We pickle lovers have to be creative and find a way...enjoy

I purchased the pouch of tikka masala sauce about a month or 2 ago so it’s not brand new, but I can’t say if it is recently new or the same as a previous item but in new packaging. I love okra masala (bindi masala) but don’t like the hour long commute each way to buy it so I made a homemade version using this. I did have to add a little more spice to mine as it was too mild for me.

I appreciate you sharing the high protein content of some items you purchase. I need to get 100grams per day and am always looking for ideas. Question about coconut water - do you feel it's one of the best things for hydrating and replenishing electrolytes? I can picture a very diverse onion family gathering - yellow onions, white onions, sweet onions, purple onions, scallions (I'm starting to sound like Forrest Gump with shrimp!) and the classier shaLLOT as Simon would say. Can't forget the leeks, chives, garlic and other distant relatives. Lots of tears shed and layers to peel away, not to mention all the accents. You've created a monster, Natasha. I love eating avocado slices with TJ's Balsamic Glaze. Hope your sister rescues as many horses as possible and people don't horse around bidding on Simon's painting of Fred-rick. Such a great cause!!!!

@@natashaslist So many possibilities for a painting like that! I love it and believe Simon could pull it off well with his talent. I admire people who can paint what they envision. Even my stick people don't look right! My brother recently returned from a trip to Wales and mentioned how suprised he was at how big pitching horseshoes is there for a sport. I wondered if Simon's folks pitch horseshoes? If so, I can see him painting a picture for them of a comical horse pitching a pair of old farmer's boots! Is there anywhere I can see an upclose view of the painting he did a few weeks ago of the guy relaxing on the bench with his bicycle propped up nearby? I'd love to see the detail he put into it. It really struck a chord in my heart.
