A short excursion with tourists from Turkey and the sights of the city of Taraz Kazakhstan

1)Kairat Ryskulbekov Park
Kairat Nogaibaevich Ryskulbekov March 13, 1966, Kokterek village, Moyynkum district, Dzhambul region, Kazakh SSR - participant in the December 1986 events in Alma-Ata, after which he was sentenced to capital punishment - the death penalty. Later the sentence was changed to twenty years in prison. He died in the Semipalatinsk prison on the way to the place of imprisonment under circumstances that were not fully clarified. In 1992, he was posthumously completely rehabilitated. In 1996, by decree of the President of Kazakhstan, he was posthumously awarded the title “People's Hero”.
2) Youth Alley
One of the main structures of the alley was the new stela “Book”, as a symbol of an educated and reading nation. A huge book with carved edifying words of great philosophers and poets, such as Al-Farabi, J. Balasaguni, Y. Altynsarin, flaunts in the very middle of the monument. The monument itself is covered with natural travertine stone, its height is about 8 meters, and its length is more than 11. And the sign at the foot reads “Book-source of knowledge
3) Central square
According to the 1958 project, the Central Square (now Dostyk Square) was built with the buildings of the regional committee (now the city akimat) and the city committee (now the building of the city department of justice) of the Communist Party of the Kazakh SSR, the regional executive committee (now the House of Press) and the former regional agricultural administration, a monument to V.I. Lenin (1959; moved to Victory Park in the 1990s).
4) Aulie Ata Mosque
The construction of the mosque was carried out at the expense of a local resident of Kali, Yunus Mayusulov, also known as Yunus-bai (other transcriptions are Zhunus-bai and Zhunis-bai). The construction was led by master Seidulla Kozha. The main stage of construction took place in 1904-1906, but the opening took place only in 1913.
The Aulie-Ata Mosque was considered the spiritual center of Taraz Muslims until 2007, when the Hibatullah Tarazi Mosque was opened on April 27.
5) Ancient Taraz historical and cultural center
As part of the celebration of the 550th anniversary of the founding of the Kazakh Khanate in 2015, this center was created. Several years ago, in the city center, on the site of the main market (which existed here for several centuries in a row), interesting artifacts related to the life of ancient Taraz were discovered. It was decided to move the market, begin full-scale excavations and create on this basis a historical and cultural center with an open-air archaeological museum. As a result, the monument to the “Gentlemen of Fortune” was removed from the market to an unknown location. On 20 hectares of the park there is an observation tower, an ethnocultural center with the House of Friendship and a congress hall, the Taraz Sazdary stele, the Mynbulak square, as well as a museum building that contains exhibits found during archaeological work at the Taraz site
6) Tekturmas
Mausoleum (kumbez) Tekturmas is an architectural monument of the XIV-XV centuries, located on the south-eastern outskirts of the city of Taraz on the right bank of the Talas River on the top of Tekturmas hill. The architect and builder of the mausoleum are unknown. Among local residents, the mausoleum is considered the burial place of the saint (auliye) Sultan Mahmud Khan.[1]
The building was significantly destroyed. According to photographs from the 1890s, the mausoleum was a domed, quadrangular structure made of baked brick. The corners of the mausoleum ended with pilasters, and there were traces of plaster on the walls[1]. Of the decorative decoration of the mausoleum, only one ornamented terracotta tile was found, judging by which archaeologist Mikhail Masson suggested that the mausoleum was erected in the 15th century.
The entrance in the form of an arch faces west towards the city of Taraz.
