If I've learned anything from Caballus it's that taming a bary can either be a 10 minute job or take 10 episodes and still not happen

The random Baryonix that attacks you while in a caravan will be a 145 or 150 and have to be put down or you lose everything. The bary you find while hunting for hours in the swamp is max 85. Probably 10. Mostly 10. This is also known as 'just another Monday' in Ark.

Hey Syntac, not sure if anyone mentioned it. Ichthyosaurs are reptiles, not fish. They came in many shapes and sizes, some reaching sizes of modern whales. Therefore normal meat not fish meat. Love your videos.

Not to mention, not fully expecting the bary to just ignore the argy whenever he was in the air, making it scoot out of the trap. I like using bear traps too, but when you've tamed a half gajillion creatures, you probably get pretty comfy just playing it by ear from time to time. 😅

Ichthyosaurs, plesiosaurs, and mosasaurs just to list a few aren’t fish they are considered reptiles like how whales are mammals but live In the ocean it’s the same for those three. So the reason they drop just regular meat or prime meat is cause they aren’t fish. Megalodon is a shark which is a fish. Now tuso dropping fish meat that is what doesn’t make sense as it is not a fish.

Hey Syn, about the oxygen, it is correct. Checked my Sarco which also doesn't use oxygen under water, and it is sitting at 0/0, same as movement speed.Also sitting at a 48 on it's melee, having less stats to put points towards.

@@noedecomingesarce110They are reptiles, because of convergent evolution they look similar to dolphins, but their ancestors were land reptiles that evolved to be fulltime water creatures, just like the ancestors of dolphins were mammals and eventually evolved to be fulltime water creatures. Mammals spines bend up and down (think how dolphin tails go up and down to push them forward) and the Ichthy's tail goes side to side, just like a reptiles spine.

46:50 My computer runs a 4090 and while I only very rarely crash off the base game, I often run into issues with mod objects. In my experience, the two setting that increase the likely hood of a crash are RTX - "Frame Generation" and (more likely) VIDEO - "Enable foliage & fluid interation". These two setting are the most unstable in ARKs current state. Hope this helps.

I like your idea of getting some sarcos. Breeding up some sarcos right now on my PS5 ASE. Kibble tamed a few 140-150 sarcos. Bred them up and ended up with base level 254’s. You can actually do both under water caves fairly easily with a pack of 5 or 6 sarcos. Finding high level basilos is in the island oceans takes FOREVER. So sarcos are usually my go to for the underwater caves. Just ride 1 and whistle the pack to attack any jellyfish. Just try not to fight jellyfish at the same time as a bunch of other cave monsters.
