Love your home! There's something so wholesome about living in a farm house because they feel so alive. My grandsons are the sixth generation to be born in the home place and there is so much history there!!! I hope your family learns all about the history of your home it will bring you closer to your home. Farm life is the best life of all.

I saw a meal plan that really worked for me. One for winter and one for summer. Make a 4 week meal plan and use the same meal plan every month for the summer and make another meal plan for winter for 4 weeks. Use the same meal plan each month. If you want to add an additional 4 week plan for every season then change the meal plan every other month. Maybe try a diifferent one for Fall and additional one for spring where you will be able to add asparagus and fresh peas, broccoli and cabbage if you grow spring crops

Jennifer on A Country Life takes several kinds of meat from the freezer. Then she uses them according to that day's schedule and plans sides to go with it. I like this. The hardest thing is when no meat is thawed.
@jeanineslife24629 ай бұрын
i agree i love to live like this i shop in bulk i have an extra freezer and its wonderful,but you have to pack your meat so it thaws quickest,even i forget,for example i keep meaning to do my chopmeat in a sandwich bag standing up it takes lil freezer space and thaws quicker,but i constantly forget,drives me crazy,thats why i came here for inspiration. she is great

Just a side note about your sauerkraut (which looks delicious). Once heated it loses its probiotic benefits. 🙂
@jeanineslife24629 ай бұрын
really? i just spent 2 weeks making my own so i keep the probiotic that shelf doesnt have,so should I keep it cold from fridge to eat with hot meat? i put so much into it,i hate to reuin it,its my first time trying i followed Josh weissman on youtube
@lindashively25309 ай бұрын
From what I’ve read and heard, to be probiotic it can’t be heated (or canned - as in water bathing ). It needs to be raw. If heated it is still delicious and good for you, just not probiotic
