Welcome in the world of Hua Hua. He s a real artist !
@Wkd1833 жыл бұрын
You really interpret and “get” Hua’s music. Hua’s openness to sing about sensitive issues have “saved” and healed many going through depressions or hard times. It makes it so worth it as Hua painstakingly is very meticulous when it comes to composing, working with the lyricists, wardrobe to match his theme of the songs. His quirky body movements are the most entertaining and mesmerizing. As you have discovered by now each performance will be special. He has great duets too.

This is your favourite song so far. Until the very next song of his you hear, no matter what it is. I promise you. The endless creativity, the beguiling and meticulous delivery, the depth of thought, the surprise, the joy, the wounds, the personal connections we make, the often sheer gorgeousness.......joyfully we tumble down the exciting rabbit hole of the masterful Hua Chenyu.

Funny Muse was mentioned. Muse and Radiohead tend to come up with Hua that people notice reminds them in certain similarity of style, voice, and musical/artistic choices+nuances. What's the common denominator? Matt Bellamy, Thom Yorke, and Hua Chenyu ALL 3 of them are of the INFJ personality type! They all have that haunting ethereal quality and voice, all 3 are able to powerful & passionately express strong deep emotions (and complex concepts, esp. Yorke and Hua) melodically and in their voices authentically and with deep empathy and understanding of the human condition, revelatory, even with prophetic warnings or calling towards deeper awareness for humanity (even Bellamy who tries not to take himself too seriously/deeply, yet he can't help it), original/creative, silly/playful, rebellious, characteristic of INFJ artists, they always try to reach for that deeper more meaningful essence. What's fascinating to me is that Hua comes from completely different culture and background from those 2, and yet still manages to make similar aesthetic/artistic/musical choices as those 2 fellow INFJs. What's amazing to me is how these artist with the same personality type can come from such different walks, yet somehow have such similar/common musicality and resonance. Very similar souls those 3 deep down. Music truly is an universal language!

As far as the "piano" goes, it's just a full size electric keyboard with pedals set into a upright piano shaped acrylic shell. Then to make it look cool they used holographic crunched paper and oth decorations. In one of his concerts he tested it before playing and discovered the pedals were not working and his stage crew came up to fix the problem and that is how one was able to see how the "piano" was made. The technical problem was that the cord from the pedals to the main keyboard was not plugged in all the way. When dealing with acrylic shells it normally takes two people to to handle it so it doesn't twist or crack.

It is not only interesting to watch how he's changed during 5 years on stage but also because I can't imagine such performance in an European talent show and I can't even less imagine that it would have been appreciated.

@@edinaedina4340 Yes, I guess Eric will come back to some historical performances in time. But let him first see the Singer 2018 version of Fake Monk. It's somewhat confusing for new reactors when they receive multiple links for songs with the same title (this is particularly true for Fake Monk, since Hua made 3 arrangements having nothing in common :D). Otherwise you are right that the subs won't help, they are too distracting to read and not as meaningful as those of his own songs. Regarding to "how many words that can be squeezed in short rhythm" that u mentioned, that's Chinese literature. During Tang dynasty , scholars are like programmers nowadays, the fewer words they can used, the better they are. They used to compete to portray a long story/emotion/conception in just 4 sentences, 20 words or 28 words (the Chinese poem). If you go to chinese restaurant nowadays and check out the menu, u can see that the dishes' names are very short in chinese character but rather long sentence in translated english names.
