A single mom meets a rich guy who pretends to be broke, and her life takes a big turn
Young-Ung is not having a good time. His girlfriend is a gold digger and cheated on him. He is in Japan and working, but his employer has laid him off and is being raided. The products are also not what they seemed. Along comes the beautiful Sakura who needs to learn Korean in order to perform at work at a travel agency and to feed her child and herself. The two meet and there is a sparkle.

right?! I know this film takes place in Japan, so i'm not sure how expectations compare, culturally, but.... I've noticed in many C-dramas & K-dramas, the women are expected to sacrifice themselves to all sorts of sexual harassment/abuse, in order to be "good employees," "good daughters," etc.... What a HUGE relief/celebration, to see a woman *respected* by her company!

being unable to pay debt is social death in japanese culture it seems. bankruptcy in other cultures does not have the same stigma therefore non japanese would probably not understand it as much. a often used trope in japanese show is the guy who can't repay debt and is forced to labor in deep sea fishing boats.
