A SINGLE SHOT EJECTING SEMIAUTOMATIC : GENIUS MECHANISM

On KZbin I saw an exceptional home made pistol made by a member of a gunsmith forum- where he shows how it was made.
His nick is FUZZBEAN, the gun is called Peashooter.
It,s legit and registered weapon. It,s an open bolt, semiautomatic single shot pistol that ejects and resets ready for the new charge and fire. It has no extractor, but the main spring guide serves as an ejector.
The gun is made using professional equipment, as the master is a professional gunsmith.

I was blown away y the simplicity of the trigger/ sear disconnect system. I,M A SUCKER FOR THOSE!!!
This is my pathetic garage quality to reproduce the mechanism. It,a ugly but it works well mechanically.
AGAIN, I HAVE NO IDEA IF IT WOULD SHOOT AS EXPECTED… AS USUAL- THIS IS NON FIRING DUMMY, A PAPER WEIGHT, A FIDGET FOR A BOY OF 50+ YEARS.
But, mechanically it seems sound.

Thanks. The general outline and the trigger group is not my idea- can't take the credit- it goes to Fuzzbean. However, my reiteration is much simpler to do at home with simple materials and tools.

@@STEINBVG I am just finishing the machine shop and when it gets a bit warmer I will be starting work on the Boattail and posting the videos. I will try and let you know when I start the channel. I love videos that are raw and unedited as long as they are interesting so I am going to try and make the videos like that at first. It will be in the Spring here in Pa when I am able to be out in the barn for decent amounts of time. Thank you my friend.

I had to see the gun you took your idea from and visited his channel. His and yours are both interesting but you must have done a lot of pausing to get any details out of those videos. Let me know when you setup a website with lots of big photos so I can think about what I'm looking at without getting whiplash. I think yours is by far the more clever design by simplifying it down to common off the shelf materials.

Чувак который сделал целенаправленно построил на один выстрел. Со свободным затвором, полуавтоматом и магазином у нас нельзя- легко сделать автомат… С запертым затвором- сколько угодно. Хотя их тоже при желании можно сделать полный автомат- но труднее по их мнению… Никто не строит оружие со свободным затвором… а на один выстрел - какой же это автомат?

I sympathize with you. I have heard you have tough gun laws in you country, especially about homemade ones. But I saw a lot of men making guns there nevertheless. I have learned from their rare KZbin videos...Very rough, but clever designs made with practically no tools. That's very appealing...If you have intelligence, observation skills and good hands- you can learn a lot by watching and by trials and errors- nobody taught me. You are correct, in a strict pedantic sense. Perhaps this gun belongs to a 3d category. After a deliberation I decided however to call it semiauto: Because it has more semi functions than manual: it,s single action, cocks 1t manually, then via blow back, ejects a spent round. All automatically. Only one function is manual- feeding one at a time hence: single shot. A manual weapon uses no energy from the charge for it,s operation: in feeding, extracting and cocking the firing mechanism for the next shot - all done by hand, manual. Give me a better name for this hybrid,s mechanism and I will gladly use that classification. By the way, manual weapons can have magazine and manual feeding- lever, bolt, pump. I think the defining factor - use of the energy of the charge

Это не ствол, а просто заглушка чтоб затвор не выпадал. Стрелять не собираюсь. Просто хотел отладить УСУ- он прост, но должен быть сделан очень точно чтоб работать
