Do they ever serve vegetables with meals in restaurants in France?

Many French people eat veggies. The presenter Ms.Florence loves frog legs and she cooked and ate once in this show. French eat all types of meat and I was told once in France to try pig tail. May be a joke.

I moved to France in 2007 and love it dearly. When I travel, even into town, I take my food with me as the restaurants don't usually cater to vegans... c'est la vie. I would be happy to patronize the local restaurants if they offered anything I could eat.

European average 80kg/person; that's because meat - especially beef - is expensive in these countries. I would love to eat more beef, but it is outrageously expensive. And very lean; not enough marble (fat) in it to taste great.

Why France life expectancy is much better than other countries

As a Brown Brit I get treated badly in France as they take me for an Arab. I lived in Italy and prefer the more rustic food and wine there. French food is rich and sophisticated, but equally over-elaborate and pretentious.

On the question of meat, I have cut down but not given it up. There were times I lived as a vegetarian and am happy enough, but lacking conviction that we should turn the world against meat.

I'm afraid to go to France, I have a severe food intolerance to onions and garlic. It seems like this is the first thing that goes into a French dish. I get the impression that French people even put that in reflexively!

Most great cooking has onions in it

When they are talking about France I think they mean Paris. I live in rural France and you sure wouldn't get those answers in these parts. I am a vegetarian and it is hard for me to find a restaurant meal here. It is a shame because the fresh veg here make for some amazing vegetarian meals.
