Please tell me ONE band that sounds like A Skylit Drive. You can't. Their sound is so original and unique to them, nobody can even hold a candle to them. It's so nice to see my favorite band hasn't become mainstream like so many bands in this scene.

I love all these kids saying "ASD sounds like XXXX". You guys need to do some research and see that they have been around YEARS before a lot of them. Yeah they changed in sound and went off the radar for a while. But they are still getting it done. I am proud that such a veteran band I grew up on is still doing what they love. Another reason why people are skeptical is if you notice their early works, there was heavy emphasis on drums first and the guitar parts had a less heavy riff but was brought forward in complex note arrangements in final production. The 3 new songs released so far have been decent drum work (but production has toned them down - no emphasis) and guitar work is generic heavy chords and riffs that sound similar each song. Only thing emphasized is vocals now.

This is definitely a different approach that what we are used to. Jag has definitely taken the vocals down a bit as far as key and octave, but I mean he IS getting old and I can imagine that getting your voice that high is probably pretty strenuous. Although I definitely miss Jag's uniquely high vocals, as long as the composition and flow of the songs is still the same quality of their previous works (which it is) then I will continue to support this band.

A skylit drive broke up but the lead singer made a new band called SIGNALS so far they got two songs which are the vulture and the new american religion hope this helps!

OMG been a skylit drive fan since jordan blake...and i didn't care much for adelphia and identity on fire....but they were good dont get me wrong...but wires is the best!! and i believe this album is right up there next to wires!! keep it up boys!! :)

I love or should I say loved A Sky Lit drive. Compare this to "I'm not a thief, I'm a treasure hunter and you'd think it was a completely different band. The music used to be a bit more exciting to me. I 'll still support them though because of the old albums.
