The blue MGTF was very pleasing. The Lexus I bet is a really sweet car. The story of the Stag was really interesting and a wee bit sad. The Ford Model T starts and runs. Kudos! While not usually a fan of German cars there is something about the Mercedes 190 that appeals to me. It seems to be both good-looking and solid. The Jaguar X-Type would do me nicely, too! The MINIs were both very sweet and sensible. Thanks for bringing us another very varied collection of motors.👍

Yes sir, the Model T does start and run! The Mercedes 190E was not perfect, but I have no doubt that it would be a good car for someone. Ewbank's do have a nice varied selection of cars, that is for certain! Thank you very much indeed once again.

@@lloydvehicleconsulting I did mean thank you for driving on that notoriously busy road. Although, like with most things, I am likely out of date since improvements have been made over the years since I left the UK. The noise really wasn't too bad at all on the video.

A great variety of interesting vehicles. The Skoda Estelle was very characterful and many owners had multiple versions. I have driven a 2001 Mercedes Benz E Class and can confirm that they are very well engineered with a magic carpet ride and superb seats. That Talbot Express Horsebox would have been very rare in 1989. I love the Jaguar X Type 2.5 , yes please Sir. The frontal facelift on these early 2000s Renault Clios was very attractive and they cost pennies to run. The Astra G model is a very long lived design indeed. I believe when they were released the had a 12 years Anti Corrosion Guarantee. Also I have done quite a few miles in a 1992 Mercedes Benz 190E 1.8 which was very comfortable and certainly not as slow as many people say it is.

Sir, we did enjoy the variety of this visit to Ewbank's. The cars are a diverse range of years and prices, and we did consider putting a bid in for the Astra G, but then we saw the MOT advisory sheet... The Talbot Express horsebox was quite something!

I bought a new to me 1979 Scirocco 1.6 GLS automatic from a Vauxhall dealer in 1985 and about a week later it needed to go back for some work on the auto-choke. The only loan car was a A Skoda Estelle in a green(ish) colour with out of place driving lamps. Being a 23 Yr old guy about town with a Skyrocko, I was slightly put out. The service guy clearly sensed my disappointment and tried to cheer me up by saying something like "These are good, just think of it being a bit like a Czechoslovakian Porsche" I'd never had people wave at me, or since, but I did that morning - two Skoda drivers coming the opposite way flashed & waved at a fellow enthusiast. It was different times, I guess. However, 40 years later, I'm strangely drawn to that orange one, although I remember the pedal area was cramped and very offset for size 12's.

My brother had a yellow rapide in the late 80's I also have size 12 feet and remember how hard it was to drive due to the small pedal area.

My goodness me! What a story. I don't think I would enjoy driving one of these necessarily if the pedal box is offset and cramped, and I don't even have size 12 feet. The car at the auction is strangely appealing, though, isn't it? Thank you to both of you for watching and commenting!

Some nice ones Joseph the Stag will make someone very haapy I think the Skoda I remember in the 70s and *0s there were a lot of them about pity their was still some that dis not sell over here their is a Mercedes Formula 1 race care from 1959 I beleive the estimate at least 55 million Dolars that is mindblowing to me good video thanks Andy Allen

An interesting variety of potentially good value cars. I live in Somerset so the auction is a bit too far away for me. Is there anything similar in the West Country?? Appreciate your enthusiasm, especially for that old Fiat Panda 🐼. Was surprised such an old Skoda had survived for so long. A great video.

I genuinely can't remember, actually.... I think there may be an auction house in Poole, but don't necessarily hold me to it. We have a very similar Panda coming up on the channel tomorrow! Yes, the Skoda is a rare car these days.

Don't know why the Skoda is on silver-on-black plates. They were made illegal on post '73 cars. Still illegal on '83 cars.

Yes, I discuss it frequently on the channel. It's all down to personal preference, seemingly, as the authorities don't seem to mind, but my choice would be only to have them on pre-1974 cars.
