This is cute and all, but I hope this baby elephant was not tortured to learn this trick. I'm sorry if I am a little skeptic with tourism that involves elephants. There are just so many stories about elephants being abused for tourists' entertainment, and that is just hearbtreaking. They are magnificent creatures who belong to the wild and with their herd, and if they are under human care, they should be treated with genuine care, love, and respect.

You must be right. I think this little elephant also went through the cruel pajan procedure (breaking the spirit). It must have been torn from its mother at such a young age, because otherwise it would still be drinking breast milk, not this artificial formula. The poor thing has to spend its whole life doing such antics so that its owner can get money.
