This is great. May be a video about no plastic instead of Zero waste. We avoid plastic at all cost. If any products we can not find it in bulk and come with plastic we either avoid it or reusing the bags for something else. Thanks for caring for our planet. :)

The Tetrapak ("paper packing") package still has plastic and it's not that easy to recycle because of the 6 layers it has, being paperboard just one of them. I don't know if the packages from this video are the same type, but a good water-filter and re-usable bottles are always a better option.

@@mymomantailife4790 yes, I find that local councils do a better job of recycling plastic bottles (still pretty bad) than tetrapak. if one must get "bottled" water, better to go aluminium. but tap water, filtered or otherwise, will always be the better option

It's more important to refuse and reduce first, then to recyle though. Recycling the packages require energy, and may emit greenhouse gases. So I think it's best to use filtered tap water😁

This is just an commercial for that packaged water. She didn't use it in her new video, so suddenly her tap water is okay again? It's just a lie to sell more of that store bought water. I don't find this environmental friendly at all. It's just another way to make money.

the paper packs are lined with plastic thought... korea is lucky to have a system that can recycle it! i'd recommend a water filter (mine is almost 10 years old lol). always such an enjoyable video, thank you!

Most filters do not take out bacteria and virus. Most importantly fluoride that shrinks the pineal gland. Important for intuition and empathy

В бутылках, которые в видео, тоже есть пластик. Они не бумажные, в них есть прослойка полиэтилена. Просто бумага размокает от воды. Хорошо, что они их перерабатывают ТЕТРАПАК. В России мало, где это делают

Lucky in Korea you can recycle Tetra Paks (the water/milk carton)😍. Unfortunately they are not recyclable in Australia (where I live😥). Because they contain plastic and wax coatings and linings that prevent them for being recycled 😭.

@@Honeyjubu even in Hong Kong these drink carton is not recyclable, it takes a lot of effort to separate the lining and the cardboard layer(just like coffee cup it's plastic lined hence not recyclable 😥 ). I wonder how they do it in Korea. But in Australia they don't find it cost effective to do so, so I never buy drink in carton anymore.

You don't need to worry about cooking with filtered water. They're 100% safe to drink and you also are boiling the water while cooking, it will kill any possible food bacteria in the process of boiling even if it wasn't filtered 😊

There are inexpensive water testers you can purchase if your concerned. Also lead testing for water as well, it may put your mind at ease about just using a faucet water filter. Hope this helps!

Try looking into Zero Waste shops. There are a lot more than you would believe. Barcelona has 10 that I know of and I am in Germany.

Hola. En mi casa tomamos sopa de melón. Es muy parecido a como usted lo ha hecho, pero lo ponemos en un plato hondo y le añadimos, trocitos de jamón serrano y tropezones de pan tostado. Es una cena muy fresquita y sana. Nosotros, también intentamos no utilizar mucho plástico, pero mucha gente, no tiene conciencia de ello. Una pena. Saludos y cuídese. 🙋🏼

Since everyone is sharing - I use a water filter and boil the water in a large stainless steel vessel. Sometimes we add a tiny piece of Himalayan cherry tree famed for its health benefits or a pinch of cumin - it doesn't taste like anything but it's said to purify the water as it boils (I'm from India). The water turns slightly reddish with Himalayan cherry tree and almost tasteless, and slightly yellowish with a sort of refreshing taste with a pinch of cumin. Also I fill water in my stainless steel bottle and take it to work. Absolutely plastic and packaging free as far as water is concerned!

Thanks for sharing. It is interesting to me that you opt for water in the box instead of filter water from home. Recycling is great but it still uses involved in productions and resources...etc. Just something to think about... thanks

She mentioned how she lives in an old apartment and rust comes off from old water pipes. I guess she uses water filter for other things, but when it comes to cooking, she wants to make sure there are no harmful substances. Tbh, ordinary people can’t test out how effective the water filter is at a certain environment; I think she is doing at her best to opt for a water in a box

Hi The melon dish is very inspiring looks yummy. For water you try to put a new pipe or water filter is best as paper bottles are good but can be for daily needs more expensive but health is very impotant you are lucky to have recycled of bottles I hope it is in our country too.
