Just canceled my subscription on LR because I don't want to pay a monthly subscription for LR. ON1 Photo RAW is great and you can buy it! I also like the library manager! Watching all these kind of short tutorials convinces me even more to buy ON1!

LOVE On1, and what they are doing for Photography enthusiasts such as myself. I have one issue which is when I am refining these masks. I have a tough time knowing whether to pick paint in or paint out. Is there any kind of general rules you can give me for knowing which choice to make and also when to use the perfect brush in conjunction. Other than that stuff is very easy to understand, although because you have so much technology and choices built into your interface. Sometimes it’s hard to tell what. Tab or layer you are working on. I am so excited about the future of online products. Thank you. I will await your reply, because really could use your suggestion.

Excellent. I'm still hoping for a Depth Mask that can be used with lens blur or any other tool. It would be amazing to be able to adjust the depth of field (look) more easily. Is there an easy way to do this that I'm missing?

very powerful. However, how do you explain first tree selection was so bad ? first, as AI, it should recognize branches. Second, here, luminosity masks should help a lot due to high contrast between tree and sky.
@ON1Photo Жыл бұрын
Well it will continue to get better. The AI model used to identify the tree did in fact identify the tree, but doesnt quite know about all of the individual branches. The technology will continue to get a lot better at refinement and eventually the two will merge if that makes sense.

Hi, after creating this mask, how, if possible, do I delete the background? I'd like to save this tree and change the background and get rid of a build and a few other items to highlife just the tree

Can you do a demonstration of masking for product photography. Many people sell online these days and we have to make masks for our products so we can make finite adjustments.

The refine mask performance is Impressive and it's much appreciated. Also, for this image shawn I noticed a bit of banding on the top. If ON1 had a specific tool to get rid of banding (a common issue with a Complex solution) by using AI it would be a home run, and a key differentiating attribute in editing softwares.
@ON1Photo Жыл бұрын
Awesome! We couldn't see the banding. Do you know the time in the video where you are seeing it?
@emeregildo100 Жыл бұрын
@@ON1Photo It is not a profound banding, but only a minor one as I´ve mentioned before, however, I can see it in my 4 K monitor as of the time 1:32 onwards. If you´d like, I can send you a captured image of the screen by email. Anyways, I´m not sure if creating an AI tool for removing banding is something you´re considering in developing, however, I mentioned it to to you a suggestion since that would be quite a useful tool to have too.
@eartho Жыл бұрын
any banding you see here is probably the heavy compression that youtube applies to all video.
@Laz_Arus Жыл бұрын
@@eartho Nailed it! There is some subtle banding evident at that time mark, but I'm confident KZbin is the culprit.

?? I not see the refine mask brush icon in the tool bar nor the drop down options for "Hair / Branches"? On1 24.1?
@ON1Photo11 ай бұрын
Choose the masking brush and then in the top tool bar you can choose the type of brush. Refine Brush (N) is also the shortcut.

Dan: If you keep this up, you'll make a dummy (me) a mask expert by clicking a button. This will be so helpful. I am excited for this next release.

If the AI mask was trained using similar images, why can't it do the fine selection on the first pass? Why can't the result of the refine mask be included in the AI mask? What am I missing?
@ON1Photo Жыл бұрын
Thats the idea. It will continue to get better

This looks like it could be used for say hairs on a spiders legs or other fine details in close up work. If this is the case could you do a demo on some close up images? Spiders legs, fine folage etc It would be great if this feature helps close up photographers, who seem to be left out of main stream retouching programs a bit

Really looking forward 2023.5. Your boffins are amazing! One off-topic comment - that blurred effect you use on the background when you're on screen is very distracting, especially as it makes the edge of your head fuzzy! Totally unnecessary! 😉
