@timhafner2555 жыл бұрын
This comment is indicative of something I believe our society has gotten very wrong - We place too many limitations on ourselves. Everybody talks about talent talent talent. Sure that may have a little to do with it, but talent + practice = skill. This painter is skilled. F1 drivers are skilled. Olympic dancers are skilled. And in every case of an immensely skilled individual, it is mostly practice that got them there, not talent. People need to stop justifying their lack of skill (which is due to a lack of effort, not talent) by labeling someone's skill as talent, and stop putting these artificial limits on oneself because you can become this skilled as well!!! Anyone can become this good, it simply takes dedication and effort. I don't mean to direct this all at you, but I hope more people see this and make this fundamental switch in understanding because ultimately anyone can do anything they set their mind to.
@lunatic_35215 жыл бұрын
Talent is a concept that doesn't make sense concerning art. This dude put countless hours of work into achieving this level of skill. The actually impressive two things here are the level of imagination and the insane passion. You know when things don't work out and you find walking down the path of doing art is way harder then you expected, only with passion will you keep walkind down that path. Passion is significant. Talent isn't and its not really applicable to art imo.
@-paulmp5 жыл бұрын
It is pretty simple... hard work. Repeated intentional practise, lots of mistakes, lots of time spent making "terrible" paintings and improving with each effort. "Talent" isn't the difference between this guy and everyone else, work is the difference.

You knocked it out of the park Chuck.. 👏👍👍 Its magnificent as usual! When I watch the things you add into your paintings to bring out so much of the realism that truly exsists, it let's me know how much I'm not recognizing in what I'm looking at in real life. . We all say we can truly see something , but until you can understand, and identify all the little attributes that are an intrecal part of what your seeing then we are really only looking at something and not truly seeing it. Painting or drawing something really teaches us about that subject in depth. This is my opinion only. I love to paint and watch others paint so I can possibly see another piece of the puzzle I might of missed. Thanks for the journey Chuck and have a wonderful holiday season

People saying he has talent or ist talented, artists aren't simply talented or born with talent he probably worked pretty hard did his researches, studied references and worked long hours to archieve maybe even a single tree. So it would be an insult to the artist to simply say he is only talented because there is more behind it than simple talent

Doesn't this go for anything? I mean sure some people are gifted with the talent of being able to pick up certain things quicker than others. But everyone has to put in work for everything they want to achieve. Raw talent is never enough.
