I can say that the Beast is the character I sympathy the most, it's difficult to put these things into words. And well, the Beast is not only the Beast, the character is symbolic, as well as the Beauty. Yes in some way he can be seen as a tragic existence but I prefer to look at him differently, which is something to be embraced and accepted, as a characteristic that is unique but at the same not! Because all of us human have the Beast inside, more or less, in different forms. Same with the Beauty.
