some of my toughts: -sangah's outfit wasnt giving black dress nor tomboy. i tought she was gonna do antifragile or attention lol. -fye could've done some much better if it wasnt for that musty ass rap. -again justice for yeonhee, she belonged in tier 1. -dowhas performance was really bad imo. you could tell she hasnt practiced for a while. -zoa presentation was boring. she got lucky with the votes because she got to perform early. -wooyeon knew she was gonna fvck up those notes, and we respect her for it. -soojin got set up with that song. she has amazing presence. -hwiiseo has that 2nd gen idol spirit. i like it.

I loved the Rocket Punch performances, and Kei reclaiming ‘Destiny’ for the children. I thought some of the performances were totally phoned in until I heard that some of the contestants had upwards of 5 hours to prepare and it suddenly made a lot more sense. Finally, I’ll never believe that Riina picked Pop on her own, or that Wooyeon decided to do INVU in front of Taeyeon- Mnet picked the songs for them and others to create drama just like with GP999.

my thoughts: - as a tripleS stan, I was really happy Seoyeon was promoting Cherry Talk (especially after them being "banned" from promoting it on music shows), but damn I was really wishing she'd pick something to showcase her low register cause it is fire (please listen to her on Rising, her voice really shines in that song) - Nana could've really shone if her outfit was more different than the backup dancers, cause she is an amazing dancer and did very well on Move, but blended a little too well with them - both Sangah and Yuki would be a lot better if they really went all in on rap instead of mixing it with dance/dance breaks - as much as I love Soojin, her performance would've fallen flat if not for the intro. the song really suits her, so giving it even more of a personal vibe (like Jiwon did) would've been soooo good for her - Elly was robbed (also Sonata of Temptation was a great song choice that caught me completely off guard) - Suyun really did choose Taemin's (she's already crazy for this) hardest song vocally and still danced and sang it well (even if a bit hard on the ears). love her, she should've gotten more upvotes - I can agree that Juri's voice may not be the best fit for Heart Burn but damn how I love how unique her voice is - I said it before and I'll say it now: Yeonhee's performance is one of the most iconic from this round imo (alongside Bora's) - Jihan's "fake walking" is such a good moment - Jiwon really looked at Gotta Go and said "this is my song now" - Bora choosing My Sea just to have her moment that should've been in GP999 is so iconic

I feel bad for the girl from Cherry bullet, who messed up, because I thought she was the main dancer of the group :/ and she did not get to show any of that. Same for the Lightsum rapper, like she is supposed to be a good rapper but she didn't give it to me.

shiroma miru just HAS the "it" factor. you can see it in her eyes. it's not just good stage presence, she has the captivating factor a lot of idols lack. i love her so much, she's always striving to be better, and she's humble (even in produce 48). i hope she gets lots of votes from japanese fans !

I totally get your ranking, I just can't watch survival show performances only for the enjoyment. The moment I see something says "survival show" or "ranking and elemination" something switches in my brain and I start judging super hard. So very surely I had too high expectations for some girls. I'm overall disappointed with how much lip-sync most participants used, but especially Kei. I know what she is capable of, but she didn't give us one high note and half of the performance were just backing track. The only thing I remember from her and many others stages are the visuals and that should not be the main focus when they want to create a top tier girl group who can compete with the big 4. It looked to me like some girls just didn't bother to give their all for the performances.

Totally agree. However for me, the lip-synching was mainly a problem that I had more so of an issue it from contestants claim to be vocalists!! As much as I love Bora and Kei, this is K-pop, so if your performance is not going to have any significant or at least fun choreography/visual aspects, your vocals have bring it, and you had better be singing, at least 90% of the performance. And while vocally Kei had the best performance out of the first two episodes, there were significant parts that she did not sing live. Now I’ve heard that her not singing certain parts was an homage to her former group Lovelyz, because the parts that she didn’t sing the members used to sing together, however this is an individual competition and she needed to show off to viewers who might not be as familiar with her that she is the main vocalist!! And no one is touching her in terms of skill, which I felt she would’ve been able to better portray if she had sung the entire song, or at least made parts she wasn’t singing seem less obvious.

The fact that half of the girls didn't even try is so off--putting to me. Like there were probably only seven contestants I would want to pick anyway. My question is, why would they pick songs they know they can't do? It just seems like Mnet might've chosen for them because some of the girls knew they couldn't pull off their songs and it really showed.

i was so sad about chaerin for cherry bullet.. i follow them since debut, and she is REALLY captivating. she has amazing stage presence, dance and rapping. her vocals are mid. but.. what was this ?!?! i could tell she was really nervous, i felt so sad watching it. :(
