"I see it on their face when they said goodbye It's like they barely knew me" This is a beautiful song! I wasn't sure how I felt about that last line at first. My memories of parting with friends are of tears or of loss -- like we may never see each other again. Over the years I've found it true far more often than not that we said we would stay in touch but within a year or two we quit writing or calling each other. So maybe "It's like they barely knew me" is a bit prophetic. An advantage today is that social media makes it easier to stay in touch.

That was beautiful and tells so much about life development for everyone living. Sophie, I'm a Masters student at 63 years old in professional counseling and truly believe that your music is therapeutic for so many people. If I can make a suggestion; I think you should talk to your parents and friends about studying some type of counseling and what their thoughts are about it all. If you haven't done so already, using some understanding of human development would add so much to what you do and really change lives and potentially save lives. Of course it's always your decision but you have an innate gift to understand human nature in a way that is unique and that I've never seen in a young person before. So this song really hit me. I am 13 and for all my life I lived in illinois, but all of a sudden in june my parents decided that they wanted to move to pace, florida. To the other side of the country. I had life long friends, I had a boyfriend, all of my family lived there, it was my home. Yes the weather kinda sucks there but its home, and right before I moved me and my friends all together hung out and said goodbye and everything. I have that memory stuck it my mind, I dont have friends here so I dont have anything else to think about, so I have is that memory. It's all I think about, but all of my friends have moved on with their lives, they have musicals and sports and so much more to concentrate on rather then a friend that moved to the other end of the country. So I basically and stuck with this memory that will never be the same. I'm going into high school next year. And its terrifying because I've been in florida for 8 months now, and i feel alone. No one talks to me, I dont have friends. So I guess my story is quite alot different then this song but I really felt it. Idk, thanks for making my day better though.
